I applied back in January for the program. I dont know if they are going to consider me to Summer or Fall 2016 cohort. I just got my eval yesterday. Just wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as I am.
I have the same amount of points as you so let's keep each other posted haha. I received my evaluation 3/21.
Hey ewang03. This is what the advisor emailed me,
"The initial round of admissions offer for the ABSN Fall 2016 cohort have been sent out. Depending on how many students decline those offers, they will then send out additional offers. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards"
so the waiting game again. prob hear back 2-3 weeks later.
Aw man I was really hoping we would get an email this weekthanks for the update! Fingers crossed.
Keep your heads up! if anything we might get into spring 2017. I haven't heard any rejection yet and it seems like if your eval score and GPA are average you'll get in. Did you apply to any other schools? I got accepted into an ADN program, but that's my last resort.

Thata true! I can take an English class to replace my AP score (they don't count a grade for the GPA for AP scores) to increase my points for spring but I was waiting to see if I could get in for fall. I applied to some Cali schools but didn't get in and this was the only school I thought I had a shot at. I'm waiting for another program in New York but won't hear back from them until June. That's an excellent backup plan though- congrats on getting accepted!
Hi KO,
I noticed that you got applied and accepted to CSUMS and another program. Congrats!
I need to take some courses to complete my application: Critical Thinking, Communication and Anatomy. Can you recommend any online or community colleges for these courses in SAn diego? I would really appreciate it.
warm regards
Kate
Hi Kate!
Unfortunately, I'm from the Bay Area and am unfamiliar with the community colleges in San Diego. However, I would recommend that you take Anatomy/Anatomy Lab and Communication in person as several nursing programs will not accept these courses in an online format. Multiple courses can fall under critical thinking such as certain English courses or philosophy courses (many of which can be taken online I believe). I would look at articulation agreements between CSUSM and community colleges using the website, assist.org.
Here's an example of courses that would satisfy the Critical Thinking Requirement from San Diego City College to CSUSM: ASSIST Report: SDCC 15-16 CSU GE Certification Course List by Area
Hope this helps!!!
I had a score of 27 and they offered me a last minute seat for summer 2016 cohort. Don't loose hope guys. Lot of people who applied are probably applying to many schools so the school will have many student who will deny the offer so you can get a call last minute offer. Plus they won't send rejection letter to anyone. You application will just circulate to another term for a year then you will have to apply again. Good luck to all of you guys.
