Csusm absn fall 2016

I applied back in January for the program. I dont know if they are going to consider me to Summer or Fall 2016 cohort. I just got my eval yesterday. Just wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as I am.

He, there. We moved your thread to our Nursing Programs forum to attract more replies.

@apisha I applied in January for Summer 2016 and received my evaluation at the end of January. I received 34 points and I talked to the advisor last week and he said the summer cohort is full and for me to expect an acceptance letter for fall 2016 some time before March 18.

How do u get to talk to advisor? How can I find out who my advisor is?

I applied in January too, but they didn't send me eval until last Friday. Hopefully I get the letter next week.

@apisha call the csusm extended learning office. Their phone numer is listed online on their website. They forwarded my call to the advisor.

Hi all,

I applied on October 6 last year for the summer 2016 program. I plan on graduating with my BA in Human Development this May. I received my evaluation in January. Unfortunately when I called the EL office, they said they can't technically accept me until my degree has been conferred. I wish I had known that sooner, but at the time I applied, they said it would be ok if I applied even before I've graduated. However, when I looked at the forums for the other cohorts, some people said they were conditionally accepted before they had even received their degree! I called the office again thinking ***, but they denied knowing anything about that.

That's my story so far, and I'm afraid it may be too late by the time they re-evaluate my application after I graduate, and the fall cohort will be filled. I guess I'll just wait now...

It helps to hear others' stories though, so I hope more people post soon!

That sucks that they are providing people with wrong info. U should still wait to see if they will consider u once u have ur degree.

I called the office today and they told me that they wont start sending out the invitation until the priority deadline for Fall is over which is March 18 I believe. But I know that they have already invited couple of people for FALL 2016. This is wait is so stressful....

@apisha They also told me the same thing.. to wait until at least March 18 for acceptance letters to be emailed. I know the wait is stressful, especially that we know that a few people have already received their acceptance letters. I hope the best for us!

Also, I noticed this forum is in the "online nursing school" section. Since you created this forum, do you think you can move it to the "general nursing student" section so that more people that are applying/accepted can find this forum?

Since this thread is specific to one particular nursing program, it will remain in this forum.

Hey guys!

So I was accepted last Friday and wanted to give a little information/tips for those of you who are waiting to hear back and do get accepted.

I found out on the portal, I went to student center and scrolled to the bottom and next to my application it said "Fall 2016" "admitted" and "accept/decline." Later that night I received the actual email that I was accepted. So check your portals often!

Within 24 hours of acceptance, you will not be able to accept and pay the $150 intent to enroll deposit. When you click "accept/decline" and "accept" then "make payment," it pops up a window that asks for a parent pin and log in. This goes away after 24 hours. I emailed extended learning asking about it and that's what they told me to wait a few days.

After a few days, I tried again and was given an error that said I did not have authorization or needed to enable cookies. I enabled cookies and was still unable to make the payment. I called extended learning and they told me that's an issue a few people have been having and they were going to work with IT about it. They took my payment over the phone and now my portal says "submitted intent to enroll" next to my application.

I just wanted you guys to know because I was stressed out about not being able to accept admission. You have 2 weeks from acceptance to accept or decline the admission. If you're experiencing the issues I was, I suggest calling and paying over the phone. I hope that saves some people from stress and phone calls/emails back and forth with extended learning!

Good luck to everyone who is waiting to hear back! Hope to be in class with you this fall :)
