Here are my stats for anyone looking for a reference of what they may be looking for:
3.76 Undergrad GPA
4.00 Prerequisite GPA
~260 hours volunteer work at a low income medical clinic
EKG Certified (highly recommend this as the course is only about 1 week long and not too costly)
BLS and CPR certified
Thank you for this!
Where did you get your EKG certification done? And it's a course + exam, right?
Hi all, congrats to those who got in!
I'm wondering about the volunteer hours with documentation. I currently work as a paraprofessional with direct patient care at an acute psychiatric crisis stabilization program, and before that, worked as a paraprofessional at a low income primary care outpatient clinic. Will this suffice as hours?
Wondering about your experiences, but will reach out to the program as well.
TIA!

Congrats to those who have been accepted. I am currently taking pre-requisites for the ABSN program at CSUN. I went there for my undergrad but got a low GPA, got my MPH at a different institution with a higher GPA & have been working in the medical field as a non-nurse since. I completed anatomy, currently in micro & will take physio in the spring 2020 - to (hopefully) apply for Fall 2020.
Do you think I have a chance of getting in given my undergrad GPA was low (~2.8)? I'm not even sure if they look at my MPH.
Thanks all!
I believe Cedars-Sinai, most likely Northridge Hospital (Dignity) and other local hospitals around SFV. I only say this because I work at CS & have seen them around
Hi I am in a similar situation (GPA of 2.69 from CSUN) please let me know if you've received any insight. Do I even stand a chance? Thanks

I'm planning to apply for Fall 2020 cohort too, I spoke to one of the representative today and she said that if accepted we will start during summer 2020 (which is around June)
For those who gets accepted for Spring 2020, can you guys share your stats? I want to know my chances on getting in ?
As for my stats I have a 4.0 GPA for pre-requisite and a 3.2 overall GPA. However, I don't have any experience on the field nor the volunteer hours. So any advice for the resume/ prompt would be really appreciated. I was gonna ask about the interview process and all but it seems that none of you guys went through the interview...
Also, How did you guys get your statement of health clearance form?
Thank you in advance ?!!!
Hi ladies,
I am in a similar situation.
I am taking chem at East la college during the spring semester. And then taking bio 20 (anatomy & physiology) during the fall 2020.
also my undergrad gpa is low . Are you applying to other schools ? Also does this mean we are applying for fall 2021 ? I’ve been reading the previous threads and it seems that csun wants the courses completed before submitting the application. Please give me an update of your process ?
