Hi all,
I wanted to start a post on the CSUN ABSN 2020 cohort. Feel free to add any comments or questions regarding the application process. Let’s help each other out! Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Best of luck!!

Hey there! I'm not sure if I'll for sure be going to CSUN, but it's one of the school's I'm considering for a Spring 2020 start date. Does anyone know about the quality of the program? Cost?

I think the program costs just under $45,000. A bit pricier than other CSUs with ABSN programs. This is for last year’s tuition. I wonder if they’ll increase it this upcoming year....

Good luck to everyone applying this year!
I, too, am applying this year. I am extremely anxious about the whole thing though.
What are everyone's application stats if you don't mind sharing?

I’ll be applying this year! I did my undergrad at CSUN and graduated with a BS in Public Health. I originally was going to apply to the program right when I graduated but it was discontinued for sometime. Now it’s back! They are having an info session April 10th at 6pm if anyone is interested sign up on the website!

Hi all! Does anyone know if they have ever accepted someone with a C in a prerequisite but high marks on all other grades and high GPA?

I’ll be applying for this cohort. I know they recently had an in for session. Since it was full, I only received the PowerPoint via email. Did anyone attend? Also, did they mention any statistics on previous cohorts, and other useful info?

Stumbled upon this thread. Goodluck to everyone! Make sure to read up on the most recently accepted cohort's (and beyond) allnurses thread for some tips! We have our orientation this Saturday, very excited!
Hey etchensketch, good luck to you as well! Where did you find the information regarding orientation? Do we have to RSVP?
@Deohen Oh I meant, I am part of the recently accepted cohort, we start in June, and our orientation is on Saturday. Just dropping in to say good luck to everyone in this next app process and to make sure to read past allnurses threads! A lot of good stuff! If I were to give a piece of advice for anyone at this point of your application- it's to get some health care experience (like volunteerships, if you're not already working in the field). The Director particularly is a fan of the COPE Health Scholars program

Do you know if we are allowed to have a class in progress during the summer during the application process? And for the CSUN absn it starts in the summer not the spring?
