CSUN ABSN 2015

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

I just got an email from the nursing department. Letters are going out until April 24. The letters that are going out are alternates and denial letters. They are unable to tell us which batch we belong therefore More waiting :nailbiting: :dead: :***:

Thanks for the update! So does this mean if we haven't heard yet we're either alternate or denied? There's no more hope for acceptance? :(

This is the email I received:

So I spoke to -------------- and she is very busy therefore I will update you on your application. So according to our committee and letters are being sent out today and continuing on until April 24th.The letters being sent out consist of alternates and denial letters. I am unable to tell you to which batch you belong therefore you would have to wait on an email.

I called and asked specifically about that and they said no more acceptances, the best hope is the alternate list. Which, don't forget, is a random pool that leaves those on it wondering until August. -__-

Oh...and I still haven't heard anything.

Hi everyone, I received my denial letter in my email at 3:30pm today. This was what they sent:

Thank you for your interest in the California State University Northridge (CSUN) A-BSN Nursing Program. The AdmissionCommittee has completed its review of applicants for the 2015 enrollment. Regretfully, we are unable to offer you admission to the A-BSN program for this year.

FINALLY I am able to decide between this and another school. Although it's a denial letter, I'm glad to finally have some closure and move on. Good luck to the rest of you guys! Don't give up on your goals and dreams. :)

I know it was confusing. I just printed it, signed, then scanned it, and emailed it back to them. I asked them to confirm that they received it and they did. :)

I'm sure they will. You asked them to confirm that they received your signed document? I think if you don't hear back tomorrow, then I would resend the email.
