CSUN ABSN 2015

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

For those that are already Accepted for Fall 2015 cohort, did you guys get an email about the package code to start background clearance or any info on the orientation yet? I emailed them but no response.

Hi there. Been lurking here for quite some time and as many of you, am still waiting to hear back from the nursing department to see if I made it. Been somewhat of a frustrating wait. Anyhow, just wanted to let you know that I called this morning and was told that an update should be emailed soon, and by soon, he said in the next week or two. Just wanted to keep you all posted.

I know. It's really such a lesson in patience. It would have been so helpful if someone reached out to us to at least give us some kind of idea of why there is a delay. I was initially told we'd find out in late Feb/early March, so being this many weeks later is so frustrating and at the same, leaves a glimmer of hope. Very bittersweet.

Are we all on a secret wait list or something? I really don't understand why there have been acceptances and rejections while so many of us haven't heard a thing.

I think that's exactly what it is. The are waiting for the deadline people were suppose to say "yes" or "no" by I think.

Those of you who have been accepted, when did the letter say you needed to respond with your answer by?

I don't think that's the case, because when I called last time, (a few days ago) the guy said that there were still some spots left open.
