were there are second degree applicants that weren’t able to sign up for SOAR?

2nd degree applicants don't need SOAR. That's like a introduction to college life for transfer students.

From the SOAR Sign-Up link, this is what I get
"SOAR is Not Required

The SOAR program is required only for new undergraduate freshmen and transfer students.  You are not required to sign up for SOAR.   (Message #107)"

congrats to everyone that was admitted!! I am currently waitlisted with a 9.51.. it's super competitive this semester. Did anyone get in with a score of around 9.5?

To everyone who has been admitted, there is a facebook group its CSULB BSN Spring 2021

@iBeArsh wow! I'm surprised you got waitlisted! I guess Covid made this semester a competitive one! I was also waitlisted but with a score of 9.43. Are you thinking of applying for fall? Can we even if we accept the offer for waitlist?

@BREN_1599, I'm surprised too LOL. I saw someone in this forum get in with a score lower than mine so that's kinda confusing. I will probably apply for fall sometime in January if I do not get in.

Hey guys, congrats on all of the acceptances!! I also got waitlisted..my score was a 9.53:/ I think that the reason that some people with lower scores got in is because of the quotas for the different types of applicants!
Anyways, GOOD LUCK to everyone still playing the waiting game like me!

Anyone know how many people they accepted? Can I also ask to those of you accepted until what day they gave you guys to accept the offer?

Return signed copy by November 20th, with the orientation on December 12th! Good luck!

Hi everyone,

May I ask for some tips on how to study the TEAS test? Where should I get the TEAS study packet to study on? And where should I take the TEAS-at CSULB or Online? I just applied for FALL 2021 Calstate admission and plan on taking TEAS in January 2021.

Thank you so much!

Hey! So, I would highly recommend buying the practice tests on the ATI website. There's one that I got that had an A&P practice test in addition to 2 practice tests and it helped so much! The formatting and questions are very similar to the actual exam. I also liked the Mometrix book, which you can get off of Amazon, the PocketPrep app (now called the Nursing School Prep app, I believe), reading some AllNurses boards to see what concepts would be covered and focused on the ones I wasn't super sure about, and also just some random practice tests online. I personally didn't think it was *that* bad, but definitely do watch out for the English section. Science was also tricky since I got a lot of pretty in depth endocrinology, bone fracture healing, and clotting cascade questions, along with questions about certain types of cells (natural killer cells, dendritic cells, etc.) and life & physical sciences questions. But generally, not too bad. I scored pretty well with only 3-4 real days of studying (I randomly got really busy before my exam and couldn't really study -- I would not recommend this, the more time, the better!), so I think you should be good with 2 months or so worth of studying! I wouldn't be super worried about the math section, though. Mine was definitely easier than anything I'd been given in a practice test, so I actually ended up getting 100% in that section.

If you struggle with anything related to anatomy and/or physiology, let me know, I tutored it for 2 years at my school! Also, I recommend this textbook, it's free and gives pretty good explanations, IMO: https://openstax.org/details/books/anatomy-and-physiology

I took my TEAS with an online proctor via SDSU. I don't think they're allowing in person testing, but I could be wrong. Like I said, I did mine online and then just submitted my score directly to the schools I applied to once I was done. I think you could check locations offering testing on the ATI website. http://studentaffairs.sdsu.edu/STAAR/docs/pdf/Vendors/TEAS_Details.pdf

Good luck, you will do great!

I'll back up what Ari said 100%. It's important to do questions every day especially for Reading and English. Use Carolyn McAlister for English on Youtube, she's amazing. Math for me was a piece of cake. Brandon Craft is a huge help. Make sure you fork out the money for the two practice tests ATI sells, they're worth it more than gold.
