CSULB Spring 2021

Published

Hello everyone,

Hopefully, this forum is found by people that are applying to CSULB for Spring 2021. We can share stats, updates, questions, and any other information related to the nursing program. I hope to talk to you all soon!

?

I'm sure you both did great! I will probably be feeling the same way after, though.

Can anyone say if they ask the typical interview questions? I'm assuming not

Does anyone know the communication exercise affect us so much for the admission? I am so nervous to wait for the result!

@Susan Nguyen

It's pass/fail, and if you pass it's 2 points added on to your point score

How do you calculate your score?

Do you mean they add 2 points on the points we got from our TEAS, GPA and so on? (The one that’s out of 10points) and what if a person fail? Do they just get kick out from the pool of selection?

Hi everyone,

I’m glad I found this topic. Does anyone have a hard time hearing the video part this morning? My video was kind of blurry and the sound didn’t match with the images in the video, so I was distracted by that. That was why I couldn’t focus. I was so nervous if I could pass the communication exercise. Does anyone have same feeling like me because I feel like the questions given are not equal for everyone since some of us got really hard questions and some got easier.

Same, I feel you. I think that it’s unfair that some of us got common questions and some of us super hard question and we were not even given some time to think about it.

Yes, basically that is how it goes. From previous boards, as long as you are able to speak a sentence of English, you'll be fine. Think of it as the impromptu speech for public communication class. Everyone got the 2 points unless you forgot to send your prompt response to the email, making them assume you didn't come so it'll have to be something big.

OMG, I hope it’s like what you say because I feel like I did badly on the speech part as I got a hard question and it’s kinda unfair ?

I think I babbled too! LOL It was hard to think of an answer right on the spot for my question. But I hope I did well overall.. I can't wait to hear soon?

I wish we were given time to think about our question before we answered LOL. I panicked after hearing the question and felt like my response was all over the place ;-;

Also, how much did you guys write for the writing portion?
