CSULB Spring 2012 BSN

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm applying for CSULB this Spring, transferring from Palomar College. Just finish all of the application today. Anyone else applies this Spring? Good luck to us all :yeah:

Does anyone know if the trimester program is 100% optional? As in, can I be forced to go into the trimester program, instead of my preferred choice of the three year program.

cmd4,

At the orientation, we will be asked which one we want to go into, and they will check numbers... For fall, more people wanted to go into the 3 year, so some people were required to take the trimester option... that is done by lottery/random drawing. I will be choosing the 2-year trimester option.

The trimester program is optional. There is a lottery for it. People might be forced into it if no one wants it. I want that program though :-)

For all those accepted congrats:)

And see you December 2nd:)

The email says fall 2011? im sure they meant spring though..

jbaa... yeah, I'm sure the letter came from a bank of letters, so that is an error.... unless you have a time machine!

That "required" to do the trimester program is my fear. I'll be kind of upset if I give up my spot in Saddleback's program so I can go to CSULB, and then get lottery forced into 2 years of no down time. Props to you for wanting to 2 year program, but I don't think I could stay sane in school if I literally only got 2 weeks off the entire year.

Do you know if we find out which program (2 or 3 year) we'll be in, on orientation day?

Yes, that will be determined on Orientation Day... after they see what everyone's preference is... hopefully it will be about even and everyone will get to join the program they want.

30 people on the alternate list... more this time because they had to cut regular admissions because Long Beach Mem had to cut some of their funding... she told me it is doubtful that they will get through the alternate list... :( I am on the alternate list...

Specializes in Surgical/Trauma ICU.

I talked to her on the phone but I didn't get an email. Anyone? I'm on the alternate list...

Give 5 : what is your alternate number?

Pretty sure the email only went out to those who were accepted. Because it says congratulations, etc. It was only sent to 74 (I may have miscounted) email addresses.

Emcruz... 28 :( I'm sure it's WAY too far down to even hope to get a spot...
