Hello everyone,
I'm applying for CSULB this Spring, transferring from Palomar College. Just finish all of the application today. Anyone else applies this Spring? Good luck to us all
Yes it's definitely crazy competitive. :-/. By the way am I the only one who was completely thrown by those questions we had to write about? Lol I am worried I sounded like a complete moron because I totally was not expecting questions like that!! I was like ummmmm??! Haha
Oh, no, believe me, you are not the only one that feels that way lol. Those questions were so random. I kept expecting to see a video and go off of that, because I thought I'd read that other people had a video? So when we got in there, and they were like "okay, write." I was like "huh??" lol, so yeah, I definitely wasn't prepared for that and my answer probably made me sound like an idiot too. I'm just hoping they needed that sample just to see how we write, and aren't judged as much on the content!
Yeah, i was offered admission and I think it's only bc budget cuts weren't an issue during that time...
about how they limited transfers...that is just so unfortunate...especially after already going through the interview process.... Did the school let you know that they limited transfers for those reasons?
Yeah, they didn't tell us anything for like over a monnth though.. they initially said we would hear something 2-3 weeks after the interview but we didn't and when people would call they just kept saying the committee ran into some road blocks... Later on we found out that the school forced them to limit the number of transfers due to budget cuts and it took so long to let us know bc the nursing program was trying to appeal it bc they didnt think it was fair either... Then they started calling csulb students back to interview that didn't qualify for the interview initially.. I just hope that nothing like that happens this time around

That's just crazy...for that to happen really shows how bad public universities are being effected by the cuts...lets hope and pray that is doesnt happen this time
