Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.

Hi everyone! This might be a dumb question so bear with me LOL... but I received an email about my enrollment appointment and I'm wondering if we're supposed to register for classes at that point? I was under the impression that we would just be placed into classes with our cohort.

Totally not a dumb question. I didn't get an "enrollment-appt" email, but in my Student Center portal it states that I can start enrolling on June 1st; but I'm not gonna do anything until I get further directions from SON. At the communication exercise they told us that everything is done for us as far as registering for classes so so I'm not sure. I would call/email the nursing dep directly ?

I think I read it on last year's thread but people on the waitlist got a call on May 25th saying they'd been admitted!

Not a dumb question at all! I actually had the same question and emailed ----------------. This is the response I got: "The School of Nursing puts together the course schedule for nursing students and will be providing more information during the new student orientation. Students can expect to have their course schedule closer to the start of Fall semester, additionally all courses are by permit only therefore students are assured a spot in the required courses."

Ooh okay, so it sounds like we don't need to do anything to register until we get more info at orientation. I emailed too but I didn't get a response, so thank you for sharing!!

Does anyone know about how many people are still on the alternate list? Or if there's still a good chance of getting off of it?

GUYS I GOT AN EMAIL SAYING I'VE BEEN ADMITTED FROM THE WAITLIST!!

I’m so happy right now but it was an email from the school, not the nursing department. It says, "You are offered admission to the Nursing Basic B.S." I think that still means I got in! I hope that I'll hear from the nursing department to make it official
