CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters! :eek:

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

It sounds many of you guys finished patho, pharm, and nutrition already. I feel so behind already and nursing classes haven't even started yet. :uhoh21:

I do too! I really want to get 2 classes done in the summer online :(

I'm taking it at Los Angeles Harbor College. Unfortunately, I've heard that this school won't be having summer session because of budget cuts. The class is called Family & Consumer Studies 21 (weird name for nutrition). It's probably only 30 minutes away from CSULB, so maybe if you guys want next semester you can take it at LAHC. It is super easy. I think someone already mentioned that CSULB only offers nutrition for nursing students anyway (might be wrong about that), so maybe you won't have to worry about it filling up next semester anyway.

I haven't taken the other 2 classes though =/ so I feel behind too

caligurl9: Thank you for the information :) I just registered the nutrition class in Saddleback. I don't like to sit twice a week during summer, but I would like to take it before the first semester :)

@Jessica_ca Wow that's good that you got a seat! Did you apply to the college earlier and got an early enrollment date? I feel like for most of us just applying to city colleges now, our enrollment date won't be until much much later after current students apply.

Spiffyness: I applied to Saddleback on April 1st because I applied to the nursing program in February, and I planed to take some classes, like Gerontology and Lifecycle 1, if I got accepted to Saddleback.

My appointment day was today at 8pm. Actually, I wanted to take the nutrition class at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but it was already full, so I registered morning class on Tuesdays and Thursdays :)

Omg my registration time is tomorrow first thing in the morning and the stupid PM class just filled up!!! I guess I'll be registering for the Tues/Thurs 7AM class with you :bluecry1: Do you live close to saddleback?

You guys can always try to add the PM class the first day. If you can't get in you know you have a secure spot in the morning class.

Ana: Yes, I live near Saddleback, and it takes 20 minutes to get to there :)

The letter that we have to give to you know who said that I need to turn in my transcripts showing my grades for my nutrition class once this semester is over. Was that a general statement on all of our letters or just for those whose nutrition course will be accepted at CSULB?

I think this is bcuz you are currently taking that class this semester. Is that right? My letter says that I have to turn in my transcripts by June 30th but that's for the Organic/BioChem class I'm in right now. I think it's different for everyone, because I've already taken Pharm, Patho, and Nutrition, but they didn't ask for proof specifically and it's already on the transcripts that I've turned in.

It's going to be taught by ------. Are you sure we have to show up on the first day of class? It doesn't say that.

Ha ha ha. How could I forget that lady? I distinctively remember showing up the first day. Mmm I don't know. Keep looking. Click on class description or something and it should say. Maybe I emailed her inquiring about adding and she said show up, but when I got there it wasn't just the people trying to add that we're there. An entire class of people were there. She also gave an assignment the first day

yes I'm taking it this semester. So I guess this means it is an acceptable course for nutrition =] that's good news
