CSULB BSN Fall 2017

Published

Hi guys!!

Anyone applying to the BSN program at CSULB for Fall 2017? The threads for this program over the past few years have been very active, but nothing for '17 yet! Would love to hear from other applicants and share experiences!

Just received my email from admissions at CSULB. :)

Hope I get mine soon! I've only received mine from school of nursing!!

Is it possible to get into the school of nursing and not the university?

I could be wrong. But I would think you would have to be accepted by both. Did that happen to you? If so I would call admissions.

No it's not possible!! If you do not get into the university you can't be eligible for nursing. I'm sure they just send them out at different times .

Thank you! Hopefully I will get the official email from the university soon :)

Received my admission from the university as well! For the transfers, do we have to finish the graduation writing assessment required placement exam? I saw it in the steps for newly admitted transfers and was just curious.

Just a note: All first time CSULB transfer students must attend SOAR. If you are a second degree seeker, you do not attend SOAR.

Does anyone know when the deadline to accept is?

I believe we need to send a contract back to nursing by May 1st.

For the record, it is indeed possible to be denied admission initially by the University and still get into the BSN program. This actually happened to me this spring. My GPA was below the minimum for the major, so University admissions sent me a denial. However, the School of Nursing was kind enough to appeal this decision based on extenuating circumstances and eventually got it reversed. Never give up!

Thanks for the info! So after you got an acceptance from the Nursing program you got a denial letter from the university?
