CSULA VS. CSULB BSN Basic programs

Published

I got accepted into both CSULA and CSULB BSN Basic Programs. I'm trying to decide which one to accept an offer from, which one is a better program... etc. If I attend CSULA, I will be commuting from the San Fernando Valley, and if i attend CSULB, I will be living off campus with a roommate.

Thanks Everyone!

Is Long Beach still 2 years? It was when I was accepted. Has LA gone to 2 years?

That would be a factor to me, personally.

CSULB is 3 years, and so is CSULA. trimester.

In the United States nursing programs, CSULB ranks #193 & CSULA ranks #79. CSULA is #2 in los angeles.

Both have high pass rates. CSULB has a nicer campus. I heard CSULB is harder to get into than CSULA though.

Congrats on getting into both. I know someone who got into CSULA but not CSULB, but people who got into CSULB most likely got into CSULA as well. Whatever school you choose, at least someone from the wait list will be admitted for the other school.

I'm kinda leaning towards Long Beach. I got accepted there right away but CSULA put me on a waiting list and I got a call this morning saying I got accepted. I'm kinda lost and I have until 5/1/14 to decide.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you end up going?

I'm in the CSULB basic program. CSULA were in the midst of changing their program from quarters to semesters and they didn't know how it is going to affect the workload and stuff. I'm struggling at the moment due to personal issues, but I will finish this program.

Getting accepted to both is a huge accomplishment! Personally jealous but that's the goal for next year! Do you mind sharing your stats?
