Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

I checked the ABSN application and their notification for admission was also April 1st!!!!!!

I am guessing some of us MAY receive phone calls today and tomorrow and the reason I think so is because not only did the ABSN program have the same notification day as us, but they only accept 30 people and it seems like atleast 15 from the boards got their acceptance, so they probably called all 30. I am sure both the ABSN program and the generic will have a deadline of this Friday to accept otherwise they move onto the next wave next week.

This is just my speculation and I HOPE it happens this way because I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!!

Not sure about that. People still need to send in their transcripts in order for the school of nursing to calculate their Pre-Req GPA.

This is true but I don't think it would stop them from making phone calls to the people who have everything turned in..... People with higher scores and needing to turn in transcripts probably have a spot on reserve until transcripts are turned in

I'm just stating that the ABSN program had the same dates and deadlines as us and are receiving notifications already

Hi guys! I am one of the lucky folks accepted to the ABSN program. A couple differences - we have a dedicated program coordinator that reviews our apps, conducts interviews and calls for acceptance notification. We have fewer applicants and even fewer spots (30). Our final date to turn in scores and transcripts was in February. We were supposed to have all prereqs done by Fall 2013. So please do not assume much about your app cycle based on ours. Follow what you are told via website, email, phone calls and the previous year's threads! Good luck to you all!! The wait is no fun at all.
