CSULA BSN Fall 2017

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2017 nursing program. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

Hello guys, I have not been accepted yet. Do you know if applicants automatically go on the wait list ? I am afraid that I didn't get in.... but I would like to know that I at least have a chance.

All eligible applicants that did not make the 60 student mark will automatically be put on a waitlist, still ranked by point scores. Last year I was waitlisted, and I received an email stating that I was on the waitlist and that I would be notified as soon as a spot opened up. If you are waitlisted, you will either receive a final email after that stating that either a space has opened up for you, or that you haven't been chosen due to the spaces all being filled.

If you are waitlisted, being waitlisted is still a great accomplishment! Best of luck!!

Was the email from SON or admissions office or both?

I received an email from SON; the only thing I've seen from admissions is the green check mark on GET.

Haha of course! I believe I heard back early April, but I would take that time frame with a grain of salt; the SON is on its own schedule haha. This year they said we'd receive our acceptances late March and we got them mid-March, so the timeframe is always changing! Just keep thinking good thoughts :)

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted to the program! We are all on the same boat now :)

I have been looking at this forum and just received last night my acceptance for Fall 2017! Looking forward to meeting you all during orientation :)

I received an email form CSULA's admission office accepting me for my alternate major, does that mean I was already rejected? I am still waiting for a direct email from the School of Nursing for any type of info.

Woohoo I got accepted! I had 24 points, by the way. I'm not a veteran but I already attend CSULA for another major.

Yes, that means they have accepted you for the alternate major and not nursing. That happened to me.

Omg!! I'm so glad I found this forum!! I too got my acceptance letter yesterday at about 4 pm. I'm so excited but I am still waiting to hear back from Mount Saint Mary's which is my first option!

I've been reading this thread since the application process started, and I too have been admitted into the program for this fall! I received the email on the 15th at 2:13pm. Very anxious, but also excited to meet and start this journey with you all!
