CSULA ABSN Summer 2023

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!!

I wanted to start a forum for those applying to CSULA's ABSN program this upcoming Summer ?
Hope we can all encourage one another and cheer each other on! We can do it!

Thanks for starting this thread :)

it appears the CSULA app is not available on NursingCAS, unless I'm missing something? The ABSN app PDF says the app doesn't close til January 10th - did it close early?!

Hi, I had a question since I’m taking my TEAS this Friday. It says an eligible applicant must be “80th percentile in all four sections” of the English, Science, Math, and Reading. I wanted to clarify if that meant we have to be 80th percentile in EACH section and not just 80th percentile composite.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't be available on NursingCAS. I don't believe they have closed apps early. I am applying this same cycle and my application comes up on NursingCAS?

Hi. I believe it is 80 or above in each category. I found this on their website FAQ's "In regards to scoring, the national percentile rank must be 80% or higher in all four categories." Hope this helps! Let us know how you do.

Hey! I am so glad someone started this thread! I am also applying to CSULA's ABSN program for the Summer 2023 cycle. I had a few questions that hopefully some of you can help answer.

I am taking the TEAS( proctored online)on 1/10/2023 to give me the most amount of time to study. Our scores are provided immediately after the exam. I was wondering if anyone knows if we have to physically mail our scores in to the ABSN coordinator if we took it online. The NursingCAS application makes it seem like we only have to upload 2 score sheets from the TEAS, the Individual Performance Score Report" and the "Proctored Assessment and Practice Assessment." I wanted to make sure that we do not have to physically mail any additional information to the school. Does anyone have anymore info on this.

Additionally, when we are inputting our courses into the Transcript entry page, do we only enter our prerequisite courses and not other courses we have taken?

Thanks for the help!

Hi guys! The application requires us to upload two forms of test score report, and I am not sure what I am supposed to upload for the second document. The instruction says that it's located under MY ATI tab, but I don't see anything under MY ATI tab other than my two practice tests. Please refer to the image below for the instruction.

Also, does anyone have an access to the info session recording? I thought it would be emailed to the participant, but I never received any.

Thank you!

For the transcript entry section, we can just enter our prerequisite courses! Confirmed during the info session XD

Hi Jojo!

Good luck on the TEAS! I just took it a few days ago. When you register for the TEAS you are given one free transcript "credit" which basically means you are able to digitally send your score from ATI to one school. I'd send yours to SFSU that way. You do that after taking the exam, and it sends instantly.

I don't think you need to send any paper copies, but someone plz correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I actually took mine last week! According to the instruction (attached this to my original post), we do not need to send the transcript directly to score but just need to upload two pdfs onto the application portal. I am not sure what they mean by "proctored assessment and practice assessment."

I retook Physio since I got a C the first time, then an A the second time. I know the average of both attempts will be considered, so does that mean I would have to enter both times I took it in the transcript entry section?
