CSULA ABSN Summer 2022

Hello! I couldn't find any new posts for CSULA's ABSN program so I figured I would start one if anyone would like to share updates. I mailed in my application a little before Christmas, confirmed it had been picked up "by a person from postal facility" according to USPS. 

I haven't heard anything from CSULA, wondering if anyone has gotten confirmation for their application materials?

For those who received an offer for an interview, did you get a confirmation email with the date and time not long after?

did any of you get an update after applying through cal state apply? They told me to send in transcripts which I did again and now I’m just waiting….

Is anyone else just waiting too? Seems like the whole program like disappeared all of a sudden without any updates ??

@g t I’m also just waiting, haven’t gotten an interview date or anything else yet. Feeling pretty antsy about it

I had my interview last week and was told by the program coordinator that they would be interviewing until mid-March. From previous years, it seems like they still sent out interview invites around early March!

I had my interview last week as well!

The coordinator told me that they have interviews that they are scheduled to hold until Mid-March, and they won't send out any admissions decisions until after all potential candidates had been interviewed. 

Seems like they're just going through and interviewing as they review applications rather than review all, invite all to interview, and then interview.

I am little confused because I thought the reason they asked for two transcripts is so that one set was sent to the university admission department. Now we gotta send more?

Looks like this year is very weird. Normally we’re told to apply AFTER the interview, but I guess it’s completely different this year?

When I got the email to send the transcripts, I spoke to admissions and they were like just send them. Even though I explained to them that our application had the extra set for them, they still said to send it otherwise my application wouldn’t be processed. ????????

@g t maybe they didn't get a lot of apps this year so theyre trying to get as much money as possible? ? it is very annoying though at least give us some kind of update if decisions are supposed to come out this month

Hi Y’all. So I emailed the person who told us to apply to cal state and she said that we do not need to send another set of transcripts and that one set was forwarded to the university.

Yep, still waiting. A friend on campus told me she saw the director of nursing showing 4 people from the ABSN program around today? Seems like they were doing the interview. But I was told to apply through cal state apply so I might be in a different situation.
