CSUF ABSN Fall 2021

Published

Hi all!
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSUF Fall 2021 for the ABSN program in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey.

Which is the 2nd chem class? I believe I saw only 1 requirement for chem?

Hi all, I applied as well to CSUF college so far, waiting for my Fall grades to apply directly to the school of nursing. I still have to complete the second Chem class in Spring, anyone else in a similar situation? Hoping that won't ruin my chances of acceptance..

I have to take my 2nd year of Chem in Spring too. They don't calculate in into GPA so hopefully it won't mess up my chances either!

CSUF requires a Chemistry course that covers inorganic, organic, and biochemistry. For a lot of us to fulfill that requirement, we need to take 2 Chemistry classes at our college (10 units of chem for me, ughh). Pretty sure there is a sheet that has nearby colleges and what courses fulfill the requirement on their website. I would check to make sure!

Okay that makes sense. I took chem 110 at coastline and I saw that it covered all three. That was why I said I only have 1 chem. Thanks for clarify that.

No problem! There's a few colleges that cover it all in one course, I wish any of them had been near me.

do you have to take all the classes at CSUF? I am in San Diego and I am willing to drive or relocate there, I took all the prerequisites and my GPA is 3.8 but I got 72 in the TEAS and my score system is 79% I can't find any school that will accept me with the percentage 79. all colleges take at least 83 and up.

Hi,

I think I saw for the accelerated program that the TEAS is not required.  Someone please correct if this is not accurate.

I'm not sure what you're asking, all of what classes? The entire program is done at CSUF.

Yes, no TEAS required. I believe Northridge doesn't take TEAS scores either.

I don't think CSUF has a TEAS requirement.

Also, Hi all!

Hi!

Has anyone else noticed that there's a lot of people posting in any of the CSU Accelerated BSN threads for Fall?

I don't know if it's because less people know about this website, or because there's going to be a lot less people applying this round. I'm hoping for the latter haha.
