CSUEB - Cal State East Bay Nursing BSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi guys,

anyone applying for this sememster? I was hoping to see how my stats compare even though I plan to apply for spring 2020. My gpa is 3.76, teas 89, and only 100 hours of experience at a hospital. Bilingual, and only 5 points for being a local at a community college. I really hope I have a chance, since I have to wait so long until I can apply. I’m still taking microbio and stats right now.

Hi everyone,

I got in with a 4.0 GPA, 90% teas, military veteran, and local.

Congrats, nice to see another veteran. What branch were you in and what was your job?

Army infantry. Definitely great to see another vet. I assume from your username you’re an infantry Marine.

I’m so glad I found this page and am hoping there will be some more posts! I was waitlisted and am hoping to be accepted still! Prerequisite GPA 4.0, cumulative 3.9, volunteer hours 350, TEAS 83%. My downfall is not having the local or bilingual my husband is in the military we are here in recruiting duty so I don’t get any extra points but we have just moved from other areas and country so I couldn’t do anything! Really hoping to still get in has anyone been pulled off the waitlist yet? Thanks!

@milkteas

I just got an email saying I'm waitlisted too! I thought I would get in, I'm so sad :(

Just wondering if you have been offered a spot or know of anyone else who was waitlisted who has been pulled off? Thanks!

There should be. I gave up my spot. It all depends who declines and your position in the waitlist.

I was offered a spot about two weeks ago, I ended up turning it down as I was accepted to a different program!

@mariebrittney49 I called CSUEB a few weeks ago and gave up my spot on the waitlist because I got into and decided to go to another program! I asked them what spot I was and they told me I was in the second half of the waitlist, so I'm thinking that I probably wouldn't have gotten in anyways.

I hope you get in! ?

Question about CSUEB point system, how do they assign points to GPA, TEAS, work experience etc? example: 35 points max for TEAS: is 100% a full 35 points? And you get less points for lower teas scores? Is there a formula? Thanks! I’m a nurse already but my husband just applied for spring 2020 and not on social media. Thanks for your help.

If there is any current students still active on this forum that are in the program I am am wondering how the program has been for you so far
