  1. Hi everyone I am a new grad recently offered an RN position at the VA hospital I currently work as a tech at, on a med surg unit. I also have an offer for John Muir new grad program on a telemetry unit. I like where I currently work as everyone is nice and the commute is about 30-45 minutes. However, I am not sure if I am taking interest to the veteran patient population anymore. John Muir is about 60-70 minutes away but the pay is about $15~/hr more. Both 12 hour night shifts. I am wondering what would be best for growth as a new grad? And if that commute would be worth the money/experience. I precepted on a med/surg unit so I am also wondering how the telemetry learning curve would be. Eventually, I would like to transfer to an emergency department position.

  3. I interview last Wednesday and got an offer today
  4. Hello! Can anyone who interview please share about their interview experience and what questions were asked? I have terrible interview anxiety!
  5. Does anyone know what interview questions they ask? Thank you! and good luck everyone!
  6. Hi everyone! I was just offered a position. But I am worried about obtaining licensure in time before my start date. I would be applying for licensure by endorsement and am coming from CA. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the Minnesota RN license? I know California is now using Nursys which is supposed to make verification faster.
  7. Hello! I apologize as I know this is an old thread. But I am a new grad looking to endorse my CA license to Minnesota. Now that California participates in Nursys as of March 10. How long do you think it will take to get my license transferred to Minnesota? Does Nursys make this process instant or does it still take some time? Thanks in advance!
  8. Hello, everyone. I am considering taking perquisites such as general Chemistry, organic chem, and intro to physics at American Military University since I am a veteran. It is a a private for profit college but has a great flexibility with my work schedule at the ICU. Would this negatively impact my chances to get in? I am also considering more well known college extensions such as UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, John Hopkins, and University of New England. I did complete my BSN at a public university university here in California. Thanks for any input.
  9. Hey I got my email from Mayo today! I also go to SJSU and sent my application December 31.
  10. Anyone enrolling in a nurse 100w class? I think it’s a requirement.
  11. There should be. I gave up my spot. It all depends who declines and your position in the waitlist.
  12. Hopefully your able to get in, slots should open up. I got into east bay as well and will be going with SJSU.
  13. Congrats! See you there!
  14. Did you get in?
