CSUEB - Cal State East Bay Nursing BSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi guys,

anyone applying for this sememster? I was hoping to see how my stats compare even though I plan to apply for spring 2020. My gpa is 3.76, teas 89, and only 100 hours of experience at a hospital. Bilingual, and only 5 points for being a local at a community college. I really hope I have a chance, since I have to wait so long until I can apply. I’m still taking microbio and stats right now.

Specializes in PICU, CVICU.

I just received an email from the nursing program saying I'm waitlisted! Does anyone know what the chances are of getting off the waitlist?

@milkteas

I just got an email saying I'm waitlisted too! I thought I would get in, I'm so sad :(

@milkteas

Can I ask you what your stats were if you don't mind? My prereq GPA was 3.92 and my all college coursework cumulative GPA was 3.02. My TEAS score is 90.7%. And I have 400+ hours of hospital internship experience. My cumulative GPA is really low because my bachelor's degree GPA is really low... I'm applying as a second bachelors student.

I found out I was waitlisted too. My prereq and cumulative GPA was 4.0. TEAS was 92.7. I have bilingual and CSUEB native points.

@cbbean

Oh wow those are amazing scores! CSUEB must have been extra extra competitive this year :(

I had a 3.9 prerequisite GPA and a 3.9 overall GPA. My TEAS was a 92% and I have a CNA license, along with 200 hours of work in a skilled nursing facility. No bilingual or CSUEB native points. I was honestly expecting to get in based off of previous years' stats, but it must've been very competitive this year!

Hey everyone just learned about this website, I received my acceptance e-mail today. Had a 3.85 pre req gpa, 89.7 TEAS, military veteran, and live in local admission area for those who are curious. I thought I wasn’t going to get in but I didn’t realize how big 15 points is for military service. Best of luck to everyone.

I got into the Fall 2019 Nursing program cohort and my stats were 4.0 pre reqs 3.95 cumulative gpa with a 82.7% teas exam and with local school points, bilingual, and health care work of 320 hours.

I'm under the impression now that the local students get a large priority boost. I got waitlisted with a 4.0 on the pre reqs, 90% TEAS, veteran status, and bilingual.

It’s 5 extra points if you attend community college in one of the three or four surrounding counties, and I think 15 points if you took all science pre reqs at east bay.

Is there a facebook group or something someone has started or a group that we can join for housing and stuff?
