CSUDH MEPN - Fall 2013 Applicants

Hello everyone! I plan to apply to CSUDH's MEPN program in the fall of 2013 (for the cohort beginning in fall 2014). I am in the process of completing my prerequisites. I just thought I create this thread in case other applicants are interested in discussing various issues, such as the application process, why you're interested in CSUDH's MEPN program, your background (experience, undegrad institution, etc.).

I was told that they won't finish with interviews until end of Febuary/Early March and that letters will go out mid-late April. As much as I am DYING to hear if I got in or not - I know that it might be a LONG time before I get any information. If you read past threads you'll see that the process can be pretty far delayed.

A coordinator emailed me saying that they are going over files right now. They checked one of my subjects and they need me to take another class. Mine will be definitely delayed.

What class do you need to take? Did they not inform you of this at the workshop?

I am taking Pathophysio and Research Methods right now - I wonder if that will delay my acceptance or if they will just do a conditional acceptance... assuming I get in :praying:

They made a mistake. They thought it was an 8 unit class but it was only 4.... I'm gonna be taung it in April.

It would be conditional. At the workshop they said it was okay to have 1 or 2 pre reqs in the spring

8 units? What class would be 8 units lol. Was it anat/phys? Thats great you can get into a class already. They told me it is okay to have classes in progress

Yep A&P. conditional? But only if you receive the letter. At least they are going over files right now.

If they are reviewing now, does that mean they have finished the interviews. And gonna make final decisions soon

That is a possibility. But when I called they said that interviews are still on going and will be done on mod March. But they also told me to expect letters 1st week of March to mid April

Yay!!!!!! I got my letter of admission from the SON today!!!!!!!!! I'm in, conditionally pending completion of prerequisites... Any news from anyone?
