Hi everyone... I decided to make a thread for all of us Fall 2015 applicants at CSUCI. I'm kind of surprised no one has done so yet. If anyone wants to, please list your stats and your point total so we can see who CSUCI let's into the program and try to figure out what the cutoff is this year in terms of points. It will help students in the following years understand their chances of getting into the program as well.
Here's what I have:
Core GPA=4.0= 9points (I got a W in physio)
Overall GPA=4.0=6points
TEAS English and Reading Score=98th percentile=6points
TEAS Math Score=100 percent= 5 points
Resident of Ventura= 4points
Military= 4points
Volunteer Hours= >200= 3 points
Total= 37 points
Hopefully you guys can post too. Good luck to everyone!
Here's the supplemental criteria info if you need to calculate your points: http://nursing.csuci.edu/programs/suppcriteria-2015.pdf

I applied to the nursing program for the Fall 2015 at CSUCI. I also applied to other CSUs in California, but my hopes are on CSUCI. I rushed my TEAS and studied only 2 days before the test. I couldn't study more becuase I was taking 14 units and working full time. I got 73% overall on my TEAS. Here are my stats, hopefully it is enough.
Core GPA: 3.72 = 8 points
Overall GPA: 3.42 = 4 points
TEAS English: 70% = 2 points
TEAS Reading: 73% = 2 points
TEAS Math: 83% = 5 points
Resident of Ventura: 4 points
Work Experience (3 years): 4 points
Proficiency 2n Language: 6 points
Total= 35 points
As you can see my TEAS is not helping much, I hope I get in and if not I am studying for the TEAS to retake it for next semester and I will be taking at least one class in CSUCI to get those extra 2 points for being a current CSUCI student. I also took classes this last Spring 2015 to raise my overall GPA and I might retake Physiology or English to raise my Core GPA. I will do anything just to get in for Spring 2016.
I also met this girl who said she got in CSUCI with only 27 points, that was 2 years ago. Hopefully this semester is not so competitive; which I find difficult, but I am just being positive.
I would not worry about getting into CSUCI if you have 35 points. I already asked one of the admissions people at CSUCI about what was the bare minimum I needed to get in and he told me that historically anything at 32 or above was pretty much guaranteed admission.
Only other thing I can say is that to make sure your foreign language points count. The criteria for getting those points changed this year so that taking 3 semesters of language in college doesn't get you the points any more. However, if you did get them then I wouldn't stress to terribly much.
Good luck :)

I'm so nervous about finding out ! Just a few more days I think. I have about 35 points by my calculation, but who knows... Good luck to us all!!!
Any news so far from anyone? This wait is killing me!
Nope, my mail already came today. I expected something by now saying yes or no but still nothing. If I didn't have so much work to do, I might be a bit more upset. Still though, the anticipation is getting to me a little

I applied for the fall as well! Still no word...the wait is starting to get to me!
How many points do you have if you don't mind me asking?
I have 33
Does anyone know how are they going to let us know if we got in or not? I just know that they should be letting us know in the next 5 days. Maybe Friday.
