CSU Stanislaus State Fall of 2020

Published

Hi everyone , I haven't seen anyone create a post regarding those who are applying to the Fall of 2020 semester ! I created a previous one , but I don't know if the title was hard to find ! Honestly, it would be nice to talk with people who are waiting anxiously too !

Here are my stats:

Transfer GPA : 4.0

Healthcare Experience: CNA ( put full time since I work an average of 32 hours a week and the Stan State Nursing Program considered that full time . Hopefully that is true! )

Residency in San Joaquin

TEAS : 81.3 %

I believe I will be applying with 97 points if all goes well ! Hope to hear from everyone soon and best of luck !

Hi guys! For those of you planning to live near the campus, I have a lease for the Vista starting in August (right across the street from Stan) and I really need someone to take it over for me. Many of the nursing students at Stan who do not commute or live at home, live at the Vista. I know a fair amount of people in the Spring 2020 cohort who lived at the Vista rather than on-campus housing and actually prefer it more. If you are interested, feel free to text me at 209-954-2259. You can be a male or female resident, it does not matter!

Has anyone declined?

If you know anyone else planning to lease at the Vista, tell them not to sign with them directly! There are lots of people who actually need our leases to be taken over because otherwise, we have to end up paying an entire year until we find a new resident.

Okay thank you for letting me know ! Have you enjoyed your stay at the Vista ? Also any tips for incoming nursing students? ( Also do you just reply to the email from the nursing program in order to accept your invitation ? ) Thank you ! ?

The place itself is great! The apartments are nice, and I enjoy the fact that is right across from campus so I can just walk instead of buying the school's parking permit. They also offer free parking and free printing. A major perk is that all utilities are included within the price and you can have your own private room with your own bathroom. They also offer your own washing machine/dryer within the unit. The management I do not particularly like, but that is its own story.

The nursing program will send you an intent to enroll form, you sign it and email it back to the department to say whether or not you accept or decline your spot.

My tips would be to get your health requirements done early, focus on getting settled in, and be ready to work hard because it will be very fast-paced and there is a lot to do! Also, brush up on medical terminology because there will be a test on it within the first couple of weeks. Practice vital signs, if you want a head start.

Hey everyone, apologies for not being a participant within the discussion. I was recently accepted into the program! I am excited to meet everyone in the near future!

I’m alternate #4 :( anyone know how many alternates they usually let it?

Hello! I was selected to be the #002 alternate for this program. Does anyone know if I still have a good chance of getting in?? I'm really hoping to get into a nursing program! Also, CONGRATS to the people that were accpeted! You all deserve it.

For sure! Some years they have gone down #18 on the waitlist ! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats? Is Stan State your first choice?

Last semester #7 off the waitlist the semester before that #29

So my stats were a 4.0 GPA overall, and a 84.7% on the TEAS test. I have no experience working in the medical field and I am not bilingual. I dont think I got any of the optional criteria points as I dont qualify for any of them. So I think that leaves me around 90ish points? Stanislaus was not my first choice, but could become my only choice as I got rejected from all the other ones haha
