Hi everyone , I haven't seen anyone create a post regarding those who are applying to the Fall of 2020 semester ! I created a previous one , but I don't know if the title was hard to find ! Honestly, it would be nice to talk with people who are waiting anxiously too !
Here are my stats:
Transfer GPA : 4.0
Healthcare Experience: CNA ( put full time since I work an average of 32 hours a week and the Stan State Nursing Program considered that full time . Hopefully that is true! )
Residency in San Joaquin
TEAS : 81.3 %
I believe I will be applying with 97 points if all goes well ! Hope to hear from everyone soon and best of luck !

Hi, my name is Tonya. I also applied to Stanislaus nursing program. My stats are as follows...
Transfer gpa 3.97 - Science gpa 4.0 - Non-science re-reqs 4.0
TEAS 75%
CNA license, no experience
San Joaquin resident
I'm partially bilingual but didn't put it on my app ?
I'm applying with 92 points. I'm also applying to MJC because it's closer
Hi Tonya !
It is so nice to meet you and pray that you will get into Stan States Nursing program! By any chance do they look at non transferable courses as a part of your overall GPA ? I took math 89 and got a B in it but it doesn't transfer over to Stanislaus. If it doesn't count then my grades will transfer as a 4.0. But I am nervous about this application period due to how competitive it is. Also 92 points is really good as well !
Thank you! I hope we both get in. They look at your science GPA, non-science pre-req GPA, and overall GPA. I applied last semester but my points were low and I was waitlisted. I hope with my points being higher, it gets me in. It is highly competitive which worries me.
Where in San Joaquin county do you live? I live in Mountain House. It's right outside of Tracy.
Okay, so I won't have to worry about Math 89 being accounted for since it doesn't transfer to Stan State ? Also, I live in Escalon which is closer to Modesto and Ripon. If you don't mind me asking hat were your points last semester, and what number were you wait listed ? I wonder how far they go down the wait list since it is different each application period.
I had 87 points last semester and was waitlisted #31. I heard they've gone up to number 10
Well you definitely have a better shot this year since you are up in the 90's ! From what I've researched they accept people in the program who score in the 90's on their application!
I hope so! Do you know when we'll hear back?
Yes! It will be in the beginning of April. That's what I was told when I called the nursing department at Stanislaus State.
That seems so long away lol. I hope it goes by fast!
I know right ?? How long did it take last time to hear back ?
Do you think their are a lot of people who are applying with over 100 points? I know it's different every year, which is a good and bad.?

Fall 2020 class might not be able to get accepted this year due to the pandemic. Current semesters might get pushed back. I’ll update with more information as it becomes available.
