CSU Stanislaus State Fall of 2020

Published

Hi everyone , I haven't seen anyone create a post regarding those who are applying to the Fall of 2020 semester ! I created a previous one , but I don't know if the title was hard to find ! Honestly, it would be nice to talk with people who are waiting anxiously too !

Here are my stats:

Transfer GPA : 4.0

Healthcare Experience: CNA ( put full time since I work an average of 32 hours a week and the Stan State Nursing Program considered that full time . Hopefully that is true! )

Residency in San Joaquin

TEAS : 81.3 %

I believe I will be applying with 97 points if all goes well ! Hope to hear from everyone soon and best of luck !

I am wondering the same here !! Will it be online of will it be face to face and is it possible to work while in nursing school? ?

@Oceanic818 hi!! Did you receive a confirmation email yet?

Hey guys ! Do you think that classes will be held face-to-face in the fall ? I don't mind online but it would be nice to attend the hospitals for clinicals and meet everyone in our cohort!

I believe your classes will most likely be held in person. If you look at the schedule for Fall 2020, they do not say “fully online”. It is advised not to work while in nursing school because it will be very time consuming. However, people do work part-time (night shifts for example) and others on-call. It depends on you and how much you can personally handle.

These are the classes you’ll be registering for as well as the days/times. You’ll be enrolling in health assessment, foundations of clinical nursing practice, and introduction to nursing research. You can pick one of either of the labs listed for your first two classes, depending how you want to set up your schedule. Also, you will be required to do 6 hours outside of this every week in the skills labs. You won’t begin clinical officially until second semester, but at the very end of first semester, you do get an introduction to clinicals and each get your own placement within a hospital.

Ooooo how exciting! Where did you find this information ? Also does the program notify the students what supplies will be needed before the semester begins? When do we register for our classes for the fall ? Again thank you so much! You are awesome !!?

If you login into your stan state portal and go to your student center, you can search for the class listings for Fall 2020. You should be able to see it as well. Current stan state students who already received their enrollment date/time can register for classes. If you're a new transfer student, it will not let you do so yet. However, don't worry, the nursing department will instruct you when you can register. I would send them an email and ask as well for clarification.

You will need all black leather shoes (Dansko ones are great in my opinion), a stethoscope, and a watch with a second hand. They will send this information through mail as well.

I am already a stan state student and was accepted to this nursing program so that is how I know aha.

I am a transfer student LOL . Also, I know I have to send out my official transcripts once I finish my Spring semester classes, however, MJC is only sending them out electronically. Hopefully that will change in August LOL. Thank you again! I will look up the schedule for sure! I am super excited and relived that classes will be in person!!?
