CSU Stanislaus Spring 2019

Published

Anyone else applying for Spring 2019? I'm transferring from MJC and just wanted to see other's statistics. Finishing up physiology right now at MJC and took the TEAS twice with my highest score of 82.7% (not very high, I know ). Good luck to anyone else that's applying! I believe the applications for Spring are due September 30th so don't forget.

I just called and they said they will notify the top 30 that get accepted via email and mail and the alternates and those who don't get accepted will only be notified by mail. Also she said they intend for everyone to receive their decision by mid November so we should know by next week. D:

Hello. Just wanted to pop in and say good luck! Im currently in the program so I get how stressful the waiting is. They just had the BRN (Board of Registered Nursing) doing a review of the program which happens once every five years. They were so busy with that I am sure thats why it is taking longer than usual to get the applications done. Also, for those of you who do not get the email dont let it get you down too much. There are many people in my cohort that were on the waitlist first

Well, that is going to suck because if they wait to notify us until after Nov 16th, we are going to have to pay the enrollment fee even though we might not get in...

Who else freaked out today when received an email from the Stanislaus admissions office, and all they wanted was to remind us that we have 1 more week to pay enrollment haha

Yes thats a possibility. Some were calles the week before class started that were on the waitlist

Hello CareBear1234, I have a few questions regarding the program. I got in a RN program at a local JC in my region, but Stanislaus State is the school I really want to attend. The issue for me is that I'll be driving from Sacramento. Is there any students in your cohort who commutes this far? Also, how are the classes first semester? Do they start early morning and are they 5days a week? I'm also trying not to give my spot up at the program I'm accepted in, because there is a chance I may not get accepted at CSUST. Thanks for your feedback.

First semester is a guaranteed 2 or 3 days per week..but here is what many didn't realize when starting..there are a ton of extra days you will have to be there. First semster is hard because you have to adjust to the load. Even though it's not 5 days a week there is substantial amount of work outside class (studying, projects, ect.). I think it is smart to hang on to your other spot for now. There are people who commute but it is not easy for them. There are classes that start as early as 8am. When you start clinicals you have to be there and ready to go at 630 am. However if it can be done if you put your mind to it. The program has its good points but be prepared for the heavy workload. It is very challenging but I do not regret it. Hope that helps

Thanks CareBear1234. Working full-time is going out the window then. I'm definitely keeping my spot here, but at the same time anxiously waiting to hear something next week also.

I got the email this morning. I am in !

I got the email this morning too! Congratulations!

I am in as well.

Thank God!

Wow I'm so happy for you guys!!! I can't imagine the excitement you both must feel right now!! Are either of you Stan students? I'm so sad I haven't received an email I'm assuming I'm either out or waitlisted :(
