CSU Stanislaus Spring 2019

Published

Anyone else applying for Spring 2019? I'm transferring from MJC and just wanted to see other's statistics. Finishing up physiology right now at MJC and took the TEAS twice with my highest score of 82.7% (not very high, I know ). Good luck to anyone else that's applying! I believe the applications for Spring are due September 30th so don't forget.

Yea only 80 points :( I found somewhere in the stanislaus stats that for fall 2018 the point accepted range was from 80 to 107, so that makes me super nervous. I just think it sucks because when I took stats and communications I had been in this country for like 2 years only, so I was barely learning english and adapting. After that semester, I started getting mostly As, but the school is only looking at the ones where I did bad :/ so i got As in all my sciences, a 3.7 gpa overall, As in the two english classes, B in communications, and a horrible C in stats. I know that if I was to take that class now, I would totally get an A, but sucks that there is no turn around... I also live in San Joaquin, so I get extra 5 points, and also speak a second language fluently, so thats another 5 points. Thats it...

Awhh I'm so sorry :( well if you take classes here next semester and apply to Stan again, then you will get more points! And also by volunteering, you get great experience working in the field and you get points on top of that!

Yea, i would have to take at least 9 units, and that will give me 10 more points. Thats actually my back up plan... have you done volunteer work??

Yes, I have volunteered over 200 hours in the Emergency Department at St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton. They have a great volunteering program! I'm still doing it! It's a great way to get experience talking with patients and nurses. I have loved every bit of it!

Really! I was trying to do it, but I felt super lost. I didn't know how to submit the application or if I even quilified for the program. If it is not too much to ask, would you help me sign up for it please?

Yeah! If you are wanting to volunteer at St. Joseph's, then call (209)467-6527. Tell them that you are a student interested in volunteering to help you get into the nursing program. And they will email you an application. There are many different areas in the hospital that you can volunteer in, but I think the best area that will fit the requirements for the Stanislaus nursing program would be in the Emergency Department.

Nice! Awesome, thank you. Ill do that. Did you get anything in the mail? I wont be home until 10:30 tonight, so I am super anxious haha.

My mail hasn't been delivered yet! It should be here soon!!

I am reading the forum for last speing and the first person reporting acceptance was Nov 1st thru email... and someone said called the school and they said that declined and waitlisted get letters only... I guess we shall see...

Yeah, I just checked and I had nothing in the mail :( The year before last got their acceptance letter on Oct. 31st. So we shall see!

Hopefully tomorrow we'll find some good news in our inbox lol.

So I called and they informed me that we will know by mid November (possibly early November, no promises). Wait-listed individuals will know by mail, while the acceptances will be by email. Good luck to all!
