I thought I was going to enter for the fall 2013 cohort (Temecula) but looks like it filled up before they ever evaluated my final set of transcripts. However, its good to know we all get at least 1-3 chances to find out. I figured we can all join in on how we are looking forward to being accepted for the spring 2014 cohort (San Marcos).
I can only imagine how difficult this ABSN program is gonna be....eeeeeek
I'm taking a medical terminology class right now online. I hope in some way it will brush up on all the anatomical and physiological words we will be using constantly in our classes!
Wow! I guess this is a good "patience exercise" how's your medical terminology course going? We have some books here at work, mostly medical dictionaries... Maybe they'll let me keep one )

Its going great! Keeping myself busy. I love reading through medical dictionaries, you learn so many things! I was surprised to learn that the word cul-de-sac is an actual medical term. Haha.
I got conditional acceptance on July 30th. On August 19th I got an email in regards to the background check. So approximately 2 and 1/2 weeks from acceptance is when I got the email on the background check. Hope this helps.

I got my conditional acceptance for Spring 2014 (San Marcos) on August 28th and submitted my intent to enroll on Sept 2nd. Does anyone know how long is the wait before I receive information regarding the background check? I am so nervous and excited!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Not yet I'm debating if I should give them a call tomorrow and ask about it..
Nothing here either... ? I really just wish they'd tell us the orientation dates... It's so near the holiday season...need to schedule travel plans.. Ahhhh!!!

All I know is that they will send you and email in regards to the background check and you will have a deadline that it has to be ordered/completed by. Of course it depends on when you first get the email. I had a deadline to complete it by August 26th.
In the same email, they said "We will conduct your student orientation in early December. At that time, you will receive information about how to order your background check and your drug screen with American DataBank."
Aside from completing the background check and signing the background check policy, I have not heard from them since.

Do you order your drug screen before starting clinicals or before the first semester?
Has anyone heard back about the background testing? I've been checking my e-mails every couple of hours and nothing. Just seeing if anyone called the school and asked about it?
