I'd like to start a thread to those applying or have already applied to the ABSN program for Fall 2013 (Temecula/San Marcos locations)
I personally have not applied yet. I still have Anatomy and Microbiology in progress this Spring semester and will be completing Physiology during Summer. I'd like to apply soon, but quite hesitant since I still have quite a number of courses IP.
I will be contacting an advisor within this week and will definitely update this thread with further information. It might be too early to say, but good luck to all of us!
Hi I've been accepted into the fall 2013 cohort. I sent in an application back in September before all my prerequisites were finished.I received my first evaluation about 5 weeks after that. Then I sent in my final transcripts in April and got my acceptance letter last week. I'm moving from up north so I hope I can get in touch with anyone that is looking for housing. Congrats! Wow, did it take you over 8 weeks to receive your acceptance? Ah, I hope it comes sooner...my school just submitted my last set of transcripts today.

Does anyone know if Fall 2013 cohort is still accepting?
The Admissions and Records at CSUSM has frustrated me. I sent a packet of my transcripts and my TEAS over a month ago. A few days after submitting my documents, I received an email that said ALL my documents were missing. I then called Records and they told me that all my documents have all been received and that evaluation takes about 3-6 weeks. Since I recently turned in my last Spring transcript from SDCC, I decided to follow up on my application only to be told that only one transcripts has been received and I'm still missing the rest of my documents! Transcripts ain't cheap and the whole process is already nerve-racking as it is!
BOTTOM LINE: BE PERSISTENT AND ALWAYS FOLLOW UP ON YOUR APPLICATION. It's their job to answer all your questions. /rant
Have any of you received a welcome email stating when orientation is or when the first day of school is? When I called a month ago they said I should be getting that shortly as well as something in the mail and I havent gotten either. I am concerned because the dates she gave me on the phone and the dates some of the other students have heard are not the same and I already booked my entire summer around those dates as well as hotels and car rentals for the trip down for orientation. Thanks!
My admission email said the first day of the Fall 2013 semester is Monday, August 26th. The follow up email about the background check said orientation is on August 12. Are these the same as your dates?
I highly doubt that, there is only like 40 of us. I think I just got told the wrong information.

I'm in the same boat. Although I just sent in my transcript/TEAS scores earlier today. I really hope I still get considered for this cohort. Good luck to us!
Even if you dont get considered for this cohort, the great thing about csusm, they keep you on record and consider you for the next application period because of their rolling application, so there is still a chance for spring too!!
