Yes I did the communication exercise! I guess people can still get rejected even if they participated in the activity ? I’m a second degree applicant and native English speaker; I guess they just didn’t like my interview answer ?

Oh no. So you guys did the comms exercise? I thought that everyone else who isn’t accepted will get waitlisted at least. What were your stats? If you don’t mind me asking

I thought the same. I didn’t know we would still be expecting rejection emails after participating in the comms exercise. This is sad

That’s what I thought too…

I did the comms exercise too. My stats were 4.0 GE & science. TEAS overall 88.7, TEAS reading 89.4

Are second degree applicants ABSN? Is it harder to get in as a second degree?

I'm a second degree applicant and just checked my self service portal and it says I've been offered "provisional" admission!

@TalTal I think its about the same as everyone else, but I feel like its a bit more tough since at long beach we're in the same cohort with prenursing and transfers. At other programs like CSULA / CSUF, there are strictly ABSN and BSN cohorts if that makes sense

Congrats! And thanks for the explanation. What are your stats if you don’t mind sharing?

Thanks for sharing the image. I am expecting a rejection email. Reading the message ahead of time helps with the sadness.

Thank you all! @TalTal sure I don't mind, my first degree was a 3.978gpa, 4.0 all nursing pre-requisites, TEAS overall was 88.7%, reading was 89.4%. I did the calculation but it was something like 9.55 points? I'm honestly shocked that I got it, everyone here had like 90+ TEAS, but when I did the interview, I felt that I was "in" by the time they interviewed me. I had probably a joke of a question compared to the other applicants! If they interviewed me with those questions, I for sure would've choked. Those other people who were interviewed did an amazing job though! Credits to them
