Im still finishing up my last prereqs this semester but right now I have overall 3.93 GPA and about 3.69 GPA for sciences (1 B) and for TEAS I got 86.7 but might retake in december

This is for Transfer BSN path

at least during my zoom, melissa dyo was saying that the 120 ppl invited to the comms exercise were already ranked. 1-80 are supposedly offered admission and 81-120 are on the alternate list. considering how short the comms exercise is I don’t think it would change the ranking too greatly? it seems it’s more of like the SON just wants to put a name to the face and maybe make slight changes to the ranking but I’m sure our grades, TEAS, etc. has more weight than the interview. IDK this is all speculation and I’m going off of what melissa said during the faq at the end of my zoom session

I see. Yeah I was surprised as to how short the comm exercise was, so what you’re saying makes sense.

I don’t recall her mentioning that the rest of the applicants would be put on an alternate list. I thought ~15 to 20 would be on the waiting list and the rest would receive no offer. but maybe I’m just confusing that with smtg I’ve read in old forums ?
thanks for taking the time to explain ?

Are admission decisions out? I still did not receive any email from the nursing department.

The speaker mentioned how 80 students will be admitted and the other 40 will be waitlisted. So hopefully we all get in. I was reading past forums and they usually found out in 2 weeks through csulb’s self service if they were admitted/waitlisted

Not yet. The comm exercise was done yesterday and they said we should wait 3-4 weeks for the final decisions to come out. Goodluck!

I was really nervous as well. When the instructor asked me my question, I looked at the camera for 5 seconds and said “I’m sorry, I’m really nervous,” before I even told her my answer. I’m really anxious about the whole thing ?

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't even sent invitation for Comm exercise. Does that mean I'm not admitted? I wasn't able to check my status at the applicant self service.

Hey guys!

When are we supposed to know if we are admitted or not for those who were not invited to the Comm Exercise?

Oh no I’m not sure. I believe you’d actually need to pass the comms exercise in order to get in. However, I’ve heard of some people with really high impaction scores (9.9) who got in without doing the comms exercise. What was your score?

I emailed the program and they said final decisions will be out by the end of April. I still haven't received any email regarding my admission status. I have 9.3 pts. I have a overall and science GPA of 4.0. It's my reading score that got my score down. Composite: 86.7 Reading: 78.7. I'm not sure if anyone got in with that pts.

I’m not sure what the cut off was for the communication exercise, but I had 9.44 points. My overall+science GPA is 4.0; my overall TEAS is 91.3 and reading is 80.9.

the comm exercise was so scary I really think I could've done better, but oh well now aha hoping for the best at this point! and just to share my stats, my score is 9.408 (science GPA = 3.71, overall GPA = 4.0, TEAS overall = 91.3, TEAS reading = 93.6) good luck everyone, wishing you guys the best :))

How do you calculate your score?

How do you calculate your score?

(TEAS reading x 0.02) + (TEAS overall x 0.02) + (GE GPA/2) + science GPA
