Hello, everyone I'm new to this forum and I'm applying to CSN for Spring 2014. I was wondering if there are any other hopefuls out there?
Hello everyone I've been following your forum and its amazing the support you guys have for one another during this stressful time. I'm currently a student at NSC and have been considering applying for the ADN program at CSN. I have been working towards my BSN but with working full time and having children at home I am beginning to look more at CSN so that I can get the ball rolling. I have completed all the prerequisites and I looked over the selection criteria page for the Fall 2014 application. My question is, based on the criteria it looks as though I would have 38 points (maybe higher if I retake the TEAS), how do you think I would fare as far as competition for the program. I would be applying for the part time program, but I was unsure if CSN gets a lot of applicants that have finished all their prereqs or if most applicants still have classes that they need to take or are still in progress. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, and I apologize for high-jacking your forum but you all seem like great/friendly people.[/quote']Hi Anthony,
Well as far as the 38 points go, I know that next semester is the first time they added those extra 10 pts for math 120 so it may change up things a little but if you want to know on past semesters without those extra ten points the cutoff has been 27pts if not a little lower, I've never heard of anyone not get it with 28 so you should definitely apply I would say you're golden! And as far as if people have their prerequs done, they usually do because the competition is always pretty tight. If you go to the orientation they always make it clear that it's almost a must to have your prerequs done to have a chance.
It would really help you to go to one of those orientations they offer, they are like 2 hrs long and they give you so much great information so you get a really good idea of how it works....here is a link to the dates and time just in case you want to go!
