CSN RN Spring 2013

Published

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)

I think Andi is right... what we are probably seeing is a result of no one passing the TEAS. I took it in late August and I was the only one who passed that i walked out with.

Wow I'm really shocked that so few people applied this time. Thanks for posting that update. I applied for the part time program and have seriously been going crazy waiting to hear something. Now I'm hoping that we'll hear something soon. Does anyone know when they usually hold the orientation for us to pick our class schedules?

Im sure Andi is right too. I took my TEAS V the first time in January with hopes to apply in March for a Fall 12 start but I failed the English portion and only had a 72 overall. I tested again in May and barely passed each section and ended up with a 77 I think. The lady at the testing center said my score was "excellent". I wanted to cry but at least I passed and I was NOT about to put myself through the stress of taking it again. That test was HARD! But maybe it's a good think that the test is harder, making it more competitive to get accepted.

According to the posts from the Spring 12 thread their orientation was in the first week of November and they got their acceptance calls during the third week of October. But maybe we might get lucky and hear back sooner because there are less applicants than available spots! I've been going crazy too. I keep having crazy thoughts about my application being incomplete. I do feel a bit better now knowing the number of applicants but my anxiety level is still through the roof :/ ahhhhh I just want to know already!!!

Nice...I'm glad you found that in the old thread! Thanks! I didn't turn in any high school graduation info with my packet either and the lady looked it over and said it looked good. Even if there was a normal number of applicants 28 points would be plenty for full time. You're golden Christina so don't sweat it

Seriously. Anyone with 26 points or higher shouldn't worry at all. I only have 24 so I'm hoping the small number of applicants will help me out but they said that they might change the maximum number of students to be accepted (per debbie) and she said that not everyone might get in even though its way less than the original maximum. And she said I should hear back before end of October, like that helps lol. Good luck everyone!

I have 30 points - nothing is for sure or golden and I will probably worry until I get the call.

Me too. I will probably worry until the day classes begin!

I don't want to sound grim, but I also don't want to count my chickens before my eggs hatch! It helps we are all talking now and can relate to one another through our wait. Thank you Christina for starting the thread so we can all chat!

No problem! I read so many of the other posts from last semesters and it seems like they all developed such a nice friendship through this forum. Hopefully we will all get in and we can get through school together!! If it wasn't for this site and all of the past posts I would have never known anything! I'm glad to have you all to talk to! :D

I know the long wait is nerve wracking! I was just trying to make you guys feel better ^^ you all have great scores so I'm sure you guys have nothing to worry about! As soon as you guys hear from the school please let the rest of us know! I just really want to start the program already this prerequisite business has taken long enough.
