Anyone here applying for fall? :)
EmmmGrace,
I have started my immunizations (didn't have records from past ), my CPR is up to date, and I have a bunch of supplies picked out... just waiting to buy them until orientation! Oh and I picked up a couple used books on Amazon- Fundamentals Success: A Q&A Review Applying Critical Thinking to Test Taking (Davis's Q&a Success); Nursing Care Planning Made Incredibly Easy!; and Medical Dosage Calculations For Dummies. I haven't opened any of them yet... but I think I will read them over the summer break.
@mrsmommy The immunization stinks Im sorry you have to do it allll! Where are you looking for most of your supplies?? I think I found the stethoscope I want on allheart.com, but not very sure where else to look you know?
About the books you're reading they all seem PERFECT.. I have been searching some a few weeks ago and I ended up buying Nursing Pharm made Incredibly Easy! and How to Survive and Maybe Even Love Nursing School which I haven't opened yet either oops!
@Clynne From what I was told youll need those things at earliest the second orientation.. The limited entry "lady" (sorry no names) she said you just have to make sure you have it done by the time you begin your first semester!
When do we need to have all of our immunizations CPR, physical, drug test, etc done by? Orientation? Or not until the second orientation, closer to when we start the program? Just curious if anyone knows![/quote']You will need have proof of everything before your advisor meeting which will be a week or so before school starts. The only exception is the drug test, which you will pay for before orientation and they will give you a form at orientation and then you have I think 2-3 days to get the drug test done. Bring a pen and paper for notes to orientation because they will be telling you LOTS of info and there's no way to remember everything!
So it's for sure Thursday not before? So if no call on Thursday, that means we didn't make it. This for sure is going to be a very long week![/quote']If you don't get a call on Thursday, I would call them on Friday just in case. They could have dialed the wrong number or something! Waiting on the call was the longest week of my life! And they didn't tell us which day they were calling on until like 3 days before so I spent about 2-3 weeks in October glued to my phone and having a panic attack any time it made a noise. I even freaked out when I would get a text...like they were gonna text me that kind of info!

@working hard, yes I'm very lucky because they could have just not said anything and just not let me make it. I would have never known.
