CSN FALL 2016

U.S.A. Nevada

Hey everyone I just wanted to start a thread for fall applicants. I dropped off my application today ♡♡♡♡ anyone else applying?

You are awesome ♡ thanks for the quick response. I signed up for my toolbox class for July. Keep kicking butt in the semester. From the people that you spoke with do they prefer taking Farm online or a class and if you take it online do the in classes stay on the same timeline? Thank you

No problem! I'm at work so I'm trying to stay awake. :D

I didn't take tool box but I think it'll be really beneficial! I really think it depends on your style of learning. A certain teacher just reads off the PowerPoint. I learn better in class but did fine online. Yes everyone in the class stays on the same timeline regardless of in class or online. The only time- so far in my experience- where timeline may be different is during 115. This is because topics often take up more than one lecture and where you leave off may be different from another class. Other than that every one does test and etc in the same timeframe/week.

Have you found the online classes to be popular? I really love online classes and have always done well in them but when I was looking at enrolling it says there are only 20 seat available? Should I be planning on possibly not getting a seat in the online section?

When I signed up for classes in my first semester I was one of the last to pick my options and the only pharm classes open were online.

I don't think they are that popular or preferred. Tbh even if you don't get online classes most classes don't require attendance anyway. I'm not sure about pharm in class but my 243 has required attendance and the teacher who runs 243 I believe is one of the instructors for pharm. I have to ask my friends if pharm had required attendance for them. And when signing up for second semester I got put into an online class- which I did not want- but was able to switch with someone. The online options for third semester are looking tempting so I'll see how popular they are for 3rd semester.

I know the program requires health insurance- My husband is a union carpenter and our insurance expires in July. Do you know the insurance the program requires and who do you have as a carrier? I need to start looking and don't know where to start because I just moved out here. Thank you

I'm not too sure about that one. I think just any health insurance to cover if anything happens in clinical or lab. I luckily get covered under my parents still. However ,my insurance is out of state but they offer a program where I can still get insurance through blue cross blue shield. Not really sure what my options would be if I didn't have that. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.

I was double checking the "approximate cost" sheet provided for the program and noticed it says $90/credit hour. First semester is 8 credits (not including general education requirements) so first semester tuition should only be around $720?!?! For some reason I was thinking just the 4 semesters after getting accepted into the program would cost the $6,480 they estimate? Does this make sense to anyone or am I confusing myself even more?!?

I just know I'm tried of waiting. Every time my phone rings I get anxious. I wish I knew when the calls were going out

I believe that's what it says. I was looking too since the $6000+ that shows on the page was for 72 credits.

The days are going by sooooooo slooowwwww.

I've Been Going To The Gym To Make The Time Go by

I know everyone in my life is tired of my anxiety. I feel like they're going to make us wait until May to find out
