Csn biology 2016

Posted

So I'm starting my biology classes this spring of 16 at csn and is there any tips when it comes to taking these classes? Any recommendations of what professors to take for biology 189? I only have my biology classes left and then I can apply to the nursing program.

Anything would help.

What is csn? What is biology 189? How should anyone here know?

You're not allowed to say professors' names on here but rate my professor is pretty spot on. I would just recommend treating all biology like you're learning a new language. It's going to take a lot of time and a lot of KNOWING. Not just memorization. I took 189 twice. The first time I went about it like I already knew everything because it was "basic biology". Yes it does make up the basis but it is all extremely important to KNOW. The second time (after getting a C the first time) I took it much more seriously. I think they are changing the TEAs test but with the previous version the bulk of the questions for the science section stemmed from 189. Just take it seriously and take all bio classes seriously and you'll be just fine.

I see this is your first port here.

To gain better answers it is wise to thoroughly select where to post your question. This can be done while you're writing your post. I can't really guide you on how to do it on the app or mobile site, but I can from the website. The yellow banner across the top has many options, including: Nurses, Specialties, Students, etc. Students is what you want. If you click on students then scroll down you will see an area for pre-nursing students. That is one way to do it. Or you could go to U.S. on the yellow banner, scroll down to Nevada (assuming that is the CSN you're talking about, there's a few actually) and make your post there. As you can see, some people get heated when school specific questions are posted in general nursing. No worries, a mod will be around to move the thread shortly, I'm sure (hi mods!)

Now, to answer you're question, as katyc123 said, we're not allowed to post names. RMP will help greatly. I took 189 (again, assuming you're talking about the same CSN) during the summer and have been lucky enough to get the same professor for 223 and 224 as well. I really like her and she does her best to help students.

Good luck to you.
