ok so i had some major life issues going on at the time...i got C in micro and a C in physio (and i was stupid 18 yr old, and took them both at the same time along with 2 other classes)...i dont know what to do...i know you cant retake a class that you got a C in but i dont know what to do!!!!!! has this happened to anyone else? im now in a new school where its A&PI and A&PII instead of anat and physio being 2 separate classes so would i be able to take that? i need some advice
Not sure what State you are in but here in Connecticut most (if not ALL) the nursing programs want the A&P to be a C+ or better if you don't get a C+ you have to retake it in order to use it toward any A&P pre-req or co-req with nursing program. So one would have to take it again in order to try and get the required minimum grade.Who told you that you can't retake classes with C's? I'd check with the school and see if thats the case. Some schools do limit retaking a class to 2 times..the original time and once more.
i live in California and thats the rule. they have done MAJOR budget cuts and they made it a rule that you can only retake a class one more time if you get a D or F in it but it you get a C you can not, thats why im not sure what to do now. ive been going crazy just thinking about it:uhoh3:
Don't be sick to your stomach! The first time I took A&P 1 I thought I'd been working my butt off, but guess what? Big ole D! It doesn't matter how well you do on all the laboratory work if you don't understand the exam material.First thing you should reconsider? Your study skills, I think they're some online assessments to test your learning methods, do that first, find how you learn. I'm more of a auditory learner, so I had to record a lot of the lectures, and listen to them while I was jogging, cleaning, or sometimes sleeping... (yeah you think I'm crazy? SO!) As with anything, repetition is key, whether it's copying notes down a hundred times, listening to it a hundred times, reading the chapters a hundred times... you gotta do it. Repeat repeat repeat. It's how you learn language, hearing words and actions over and over, and you have to start somewhere.
Finally, mix it up. Talk to people in your class, something I've found convenient is talking to people who are doing just as or better in a class than I am. Their ideas and information are the most valuable resource I've had.
studying and retaining info is not my problem. i do GREAT in school!!! i love school because its the one thing in life i am actually really good at! but the problem is, is that i took it 2 yrs ago, i was a lot more immature then, i took it with a full course load, i had just moved out for the first time, AND i was working like 30 hrs a week...so i was just and idiot at the time...
You could get around the no C retake rule by taking it again at a different school, but that would only work if you retake it at a school that is not within the same community college district.
REALLY!?!?! no way r u serious?! r u from cali too? im in a totally different district. the school i originally took the class in is 250miles from where i live/go to school now! oh my goodness i hope you are right!!!!!!!!!
im going to look into this! THANK U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im now starting to feel a little better!

I had to retake all of the ranking courses. All I could say is try hard for what you want and never give up as hard as it looks. I have two kids and know how hard school can be while having other stuff to do. Like I said never give up and always look foward.
