According to whatever you discussed regarding of CRNE, I feel a bit scared. Is it really difficult? How can I start to prepare for it? Is the CRNE pre-guide useful? Any preparation workshop availabe in Edmonton? Is it worth to take it? Any other books which I can find in public libary?

can any one please explain what to do if patient chest tube is diconnected accidently. do we have to put the end in sterile water or clamp the chest tube near the patient's chest.
I am confused .. because I as I know we have to imerese the tube in sterile water but what is the use of 2 clamps near the patient bed in emergency we can clap and then call the doctor if sterile water is not at the bed side. our 2 instuctors gave 2 different answers one said sterile water and other said clamp near the chest,, so what if option says both and we have to chose one which is the correct option.

Personally I would clamp first and then immerse in sterile water if both was available. It takes a little time opening the sterile container where the clamps should be ready for use

In response to your first question, it is likely beneficence.
The second one - why can't you do both at the same time? You can be hitting the code button as you're assessing breathing. That's what happens in the real world. But remember your ABCs... Airway, Breathing and Circulation. Think about the training you received in Basic Cardiac Life Support. When do you call for help when you find an unresponsive adult?

The school nurse will not be providing the meals at her own expense, merely acting as the intermediary between the school board and the children, so there is no self-sacrifice. Wikipedia describes beneficence thus:
The term beneficence refers to actions that promote the wellbeing of others. In the medical context, this means taking actions that serve the best interests of patients.
Thus the school nurse who ensures that each child in her program receives a hot meal is acting with beneficence.
clamp the chest tube near the patient.. that's why in any hospital setting, if a patient has chest tubes, clamp should always be available at bedside. that's what i know...

im still here at philippines, my tentative flight is on march. i am studying since october all books that i have..but upon logging in here, i learned that books that i have read may not be applicable for canadian nursing practice.
