For October 2010, i got my result on November 10th, which i failed for , and one of my friend who also wrote in Alberta, got by around 15th or 16th and she passed the exam, and most of the people who i know told that pass results will be late than the failed ones, again many of them who wrote in Nova Scotia got their results on Monday and Tuesday, but no one made it, and no passed results from Nova Scotia are received yet

I do not think this is true. When i failed the first time i received my results same time as some of my colleagues who were successful as well as some who were not. I actually received it a bit eariler than i expected after I had some of my colleagues passing and failing.

The thing is we will eventually receive the results, it's the waiting and fear of the unknown that have us on our P's and Q's.

Well, this is true from personal experience. I have been there twice and I totally believe the colleague that told me that her 3 friends received theirs already. The last October when I wrote, I received my result a week earlier than those who made it. The same was the case with my first attempt. So, the first batch had been sent out and it reached their destinations Monday this week. The second batch would be despatched this week and would reach most of us by Monday next week (March 13th)

I personally don't think they mail it to you based on whether you passed or not. It really depends on which province you wrote it in and where you live. When i wrote the exam in june in toronto, a friend of mine got her result one day before me even though she lives only 2 blocks away from me and she passed. I failed and received mine a day or two later. We both got our results near the end of july while other cities in ontario got theirs a bit earlier (pass or fail). Also, CNO extended the deadline by a week in october for those who didn't pass to apply for the next exam. I think they send them all out at the same time and it depends on your local postal service to determine which day you get it. This was my experience, i know the waiting is hard but lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!!

Hi Rosemt;

Your account is true and correct. That is how it works in Alberta. The first batch (mostly those who failed) goes a week earlier than the second batch (mostly those who passed). Anyone who has not received his/her this week will have to wait for two more weekdays. By Monday, everyone in Alberta will have received his/her and chances are that 99% of them will pass.

Every college has certain autonomy with respect to how the results are released. Ontario handles the release of the CRNE differently than Alberta, etc. From what I know, Alberta releases the first batch consisting mostly of those who fail first followed by the second batch. Those in the second batch receive theirs a week later usually. This is not known to many people because the batch one consists of a few people that failed while batch two consists of the majority that passed. CARNA of course will not tell you this, but those failed in Alberta would tell you that.

I do believe each province may have a different way of releasing the results. Lets look at it this way; Today wed 9 march makes it week #5. The CNA states that results will be received within 6 weeks which can only mean one thing, the provincial regulatory bodies may have already received the grades and are in the process of distributing them. How they actually go about doing it is questionable. So sooner or later we will all receive our results.

Lets keep readers of this thread posted as the results are received as to provide support. I will post as soon as i get my results whether its a fail or pass.

Lets hang in there guys.....Happy waiting....!

Stress level is high , BP 200/114 , Pulse rate 180 , RR 5 ,,,,,,, waiting time still going ,,,,any news about ontario plz.

Hang in there, I can totally relate. I have been trying to occupy myself as to pass the time away but i can't either. I have not heard anything from anyone of my other colleagues in Ontario. Please inform us if you do!

What do you think of the oct and june exam as compared to the feb?

I agree with SAVN24, it is for sure that they are in the process of sending the results because it is already the 6th week next wednesday. When I emailed CNO for my change of address she reminded me that results will be "received" between the 4- 6 weeks.

diagnosis:

risk for cardiac arrest and/or cardiovascular accident due to peaked bp, and tachycardia; risk for respiratory acidosis due to hypoventilation evidenced by low respiration rate; all these caused by uncertainty of crne result and long waiting time

solution

pass the crne and every thing normalizes; hopefully by next week!

As you are aware, one is not allowed to disclose the content of the exam. So, I will not touch the content in this response. However, for all I know and learned, I found the Feb 2, 2011 easiest of the three exams. The reason is not farfetched - I did a more thorough preparation in the latter than the previous two. In fact, I did not prepare for the first two exams because of work. While the content of the exams may be the same (quality and toughness), my understanding improved so much toward the Feb 2 exam that I found it easier than the others. Secondly, my exam-taking skills improved in the last exam. In the previous two, I did not manage my time very well.

I am aware we are not aware to disclose the content of the exam. Thanks you for your reply but i guess I should have been more specific. I was only asking to make a comparison between the three times as it relates to the toughness; and you did.......I only wanted your opinon. Thank you!!!!:)
