CRNA University of Miami starting January 2019

Hello everyone,

I have started the application process for the BSN to DNP Anesthesia Track program at University of Miami that will start January 2019. It would be nice to know who else is applying to compare information, help one another, and start getting to know our classmates. Feel free to comment! :)

Hi Arle3, I'm from the Neuro ICU as well. If you don't mind sharing, what kind of questions were asked about the area of expertise? Thanks!

I hope soooo I spoke with her last week and she said the same thing that we would know by this week ������

Well I sure hope it is by next week, maybe they are waiting until all interviews are done to finalize their picks. They also maybe waiting to tell all the final applicants at once. However, I'm sure that if they have us waiting close to a month and even more for some, we are strong applicants and no news is good news right now. Good luck everyone!

That's great! Congrats! Well for the most part it seems that it really depends which staff is interviewing you. I would definitely know your icu patient population pathophysiology. They wanted to know why the symptoms occur. Also know the drugs used to treat and how they work. They also asked the general questions of why you wanted to be a crna... why um... etc ... make sure you ask questions about the program as well which shows your interest in the program. So i finally got called for an interview next week! The recruiter liz told me she would email me details but i have not received anything and the interview is on monday? For you guys who already had the interview did you get the email right away??

@JKRenee When did you submit your application? I submitted March 6 and haven't gotten anything? I called and they said I would hear soon but nothing! I'm freaking out.

I submitted my application Feb. 28. My status in nursingcas changed to "verified" on March 6 and I was contact by UM for an interview on Mar. 29.
