CRNA FIU Starting Spring 2019

Hello everyone! Recently applied to FIU's program, and just wanted to know if anyone out there (there has to be) has also sent in there application. Want to get a feel for my possible future Classmates and general information.

I just interviewed yesterday. WOW. No way to prepare for those nerves. I felt like I bombed but apparently most of us seem to feel this way. I know my stuff and I was almost catatonic with some scenarios. First two sentences I uttered were audibly shaky. LOL. I had to excuse myself and take a deep breath. I am trying to stay hopeful but I really let myself have it in the car. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Yesterday was extremely nerve wrecking. I felt as though the SRNAs did very well with helping to alleviate the anxiety that I was having. I'm praying that I get the call. I love the program director, I love everything that FIU has to offer and I really like the energy from faculty and staff. It would a really great program to be apart of. God willing we will get positive feedback

Hey! I interviewed on Tuesday...I thought it was intense..didn't expect 5 scenarios..but I think I did okay...when do you guys think we will here anything? So nerve racking...

Does anyone feel that their interviewers game them any sort of hint or advice on if they seem to be a good candidate or not?!

This wait is the worst. I keep reliving moments from the interview. Isn't that post traumatic stress? Lol

They didn't give any hints at all!!! Hard to tell. I think it all boils down to if you're a good fit for their program. I wonder how we are scored and what is the highest score, the score ranges, etc

Did you guys apply and/or get accepted anywhere else? I only applied to FIU, but I was reading the thread for UM. They seem to have rolling admissions and it seems like they're done with their whole process.

UM does have rolling admissions, but they are not done yet. I spoke to the office today and they are still reviewing applications that came in before the April 1st deadline. I applied there as well and I'm hoping to get an interview and hear something by the end of the month.

Make sure to check your emails they are sending admission decisions. I got in... Im so excited!!!

I also received my admission letter today!! congrats!!! I saw you on the UM thread, will you be attending FIU or UM?
