Criminal history... arrested, but no convinction/all charges dropped

Published

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance. I am currently taking prerequisite classes before applying to the nursing program and want to get my CNA 1 and CNA 2 soon. I was arrested about 2.5 years ago while I was trimming on a pot farm in California and charged with three felonies and spent the day in jail. All my charges got dropped before the court date so nothing ever came of it. In my state (Oregon), you need to disclose all past arrests, convicted or not. Can anyone offer any guidance on how much this will affect me when I apply to be a CNA and potentially for nursing school, future RN jobs, etc? Also, do I need to disclose a few Minor in Possession tickets for alcohol from when I was 15? I have nothing else on my record besides those and I haven't smoked weed for years or drink much at all anymore. I will call the appropriate places to get official answers but I thought I would ask on here too. Thanks.
