When you're the patient and the Dr comes in and sits down and says thank God you're my easiest patient today what scripts and tests do you need me to write for. .

When you wake up five minutes before your shift starts, but realize you got low census.

The look you give a 1st year resident when he says, "Sure is a quiet night,isn't it?"

This is an original, made at the close of the 'sweet hour' in my ER in which we only have young people wanting work excuses.

Shift is over and i still have my stethoscope, my pen, a clean uniform, makeup still intact & smiling! If only everyday could end like this!!

Third day of three straight 12s and your director only gave you two days off from the last week to the start of this week: "We only have 18 patients Census is low, you're right sized."

When my all 6 patients has "normal" bowel movement within 3 days or any of my patients who had not pooped for 10 days and had "normal" bowel movement by the end of my shift. Hurry......Time to celebrate!!!
