Hi AllNurses . I will be writing the CPNRE on January 2011. My study materials are:
-Mosby's Canadian Comprehensive Review of Nursing 2nd Edition and
-The Canadian PN Exam Prep Guide 3rd Edition.
To all test takers for January 2011 (hoping that I am not the only one here), please join and we'll support each other to stay on track and keep on going. To all other members who passed the exam or knowledgeable about the CPNRE, please give some inputs. Badly needed. Thank you.
A prayer to all of us, "Lord God, our Saviour, we are asking for your guidance for the upcoming CPNRE. Help us to comprehend what we are studying and give us wisdom to pass the exam. Please Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen".
Will always keep you posted :)
I will be taking CPNRE too on Jan 2011.

Thanks and good luck to all of us.:)

Hi Kissabelle. I haven't found any canadian comprehensive review (textbook) for CPNRE or practical nursing though. So I am using the Mosby's Canadian Comprehensive Review of Nursing. Wishing us all the luck :)
Have a look at Assessment Strategies Inc. - Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examiniation to get a better understanding of the exam, official prep guide and predictor tests.
I hope this helps.
hi i am writing my exam for the 2nd time in jan 2011
i studied the candian pn exam prep guide for my first time, and it was no good to me.
i am now studying a flash card thing from the states and my own studying from my school txt books. i failed the exam by 6 questions and i am devistated as i was working on my temp for 3 months doing just fine, and it all gets taken away from u when u fail. my jobs are on hold for me tho thank god. i am taking a prep course at george brown in dec to elp with the exam. finding the books very expensive to buy.....
hope i canhelp out any way i can, remember i am not aloud to discuse any of the questions from the exam, not that i remember any of them any ways...
the ahrdest part was i came out of that exam feeling like it was the easiest exam i ever wrote. and i failed it.
Hi Winterspice and everyone!
I too will write the CPNRE in Jan 2011
I will be studying the Canadian PN Exam Prep Guide 3rd Edition, and Mosby's prep guide, although it doesn't have multiple choice questions, it only gives the answers.
I don't even know where to get started :S
If anyone knows of any online exam preps, that'd be greatly appreciated!
good luck to us all!
So, the CPNRE jan 2011 exam is coming up. Good luck to all who will be writing it.
I failed the first time I wrote it, so my biggest tip to everyone writing is to stay calm before and during the exam. Don't panic because you don't know the answer to one question, just skip it and move on. Refer back to everything you've learned in school and outside of school. I'm sure you'll all do fine :)
Cheers.
