CPNRE!!! HELP!!!

Published

Hello everyone!

I'm currently taking a break from reviewing drugs! I'm kind of freaking out. I write the CPNRE on October 12th in BC!

So far, I've failed both mock exams provided by school, and also haven't gotten passed 75% on my questions I have at home. I'm able to break it down to the best two answers and then it seems I pick the wrong ones.

I've been reviewing some path, working on questions and reviewing drugs. I'm really having a hard time determining what to study. I feel like I'm just bouncing around from subject to subject.

Does ANYONE have any tips on what to focus on?!!!! I am so nervous and I cannot fail this exam!

I just wish I knew what the passing mark is! They say it's a "pass" or "fail" but it has to be based of a certain number correct and incorrect.

Ugh, haven't stopped thinking about it :( I made such stupid mistakes, Idk if it was because I didn't read the questions in detail or nerves! But once I should have got right I got wrong.

Last May/June 2016, passing mark was 101.

I made a lot of mistakes in maternal nursing, calculations and drugs. I guess more than 60 questions out of 170.

I was trying to find something that said what it was!!! Where did you get that info?I didn't see anything on ASI! I think I could have got 101/170 right lol.

One of my classmate took an exam last June. Once you are failed, they gonna send you a passing mark.

did you get your mark back?! I guessed on a lot too. we never know!!! fingers crossed

Hey there i just wrote my CPNRE

I thought the exam was okay.

I kept studying NCLEX books when i should have been studying the different editions of the prep guide.. And their rationales

Does anyone know when the earlier writers will recieve their results ?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Just a reminder to not discuss actual questions that appeared on the exam. Remember you sign a confidential agreement when you take the exam

I took the exam on the 6th of October and it was horribly hard.

Do you know how they determine the passing grade?

The CPNRE exam writers determines the passing rate.

Yes, but how do they come up with the passing score? Is it based on the average score for all those who wrote the exam across Canada?
