Hi to everyone here, I am just starting out for my RN and love the information on this site. I am getting ready to take my first test but have a ? about the CPNE, I keep reading about the different stations and i read that you can fail certian things and retest and pass but what are the other things that you cannot retest on and would make you fail the CPNE. Thanks for your time.

I remember reading that if you go into the patient's room and obviously do something off the wall to put the patient in emotional or physical danger, the examiner has the authority to step in, remove you from patient contact, and immediately fail you. Hard to imagine someone paying close to 2K and waiting 10 months or more to deliberately do something like this unless they had some kind of meltdown that they couldn't help. When you start to prepare for the CPNE, it is best to concentrate on the way to do things correctly. Good luck with the program.
