I did get a pediatric patient when I tested at St. Peters. When I arrived, I was told that the pediatric patient census normally is low; but you should be prepared for any patient. The testing staff were nice....they wanted to see you succeed but had no problems failing you if you did not meet the standards. I do encourage you to scope out the hospital at least the morning of your arrival.....I was confused when I walked into the building thinking that I was on the first floor where the lobby was only to find out that I was in the basement. Good luck, if you have more specific questions let me know.
I figured that I probably should prepare for peds...I just had a moment of giddiness...thinking there was a glimmer of hope I might not have a peds pt. I do have a few more questions....like..did you do a workshop, Im kinda on the fence about that. And what time of year did you do your CPNE? Im out in AZ and our census in the hospital for all pts...city wide, has been low (I dont think the snow birds came this year).Im suppose to test at the end of May. Im just curious to know how many people got the full 5 pcs'?
