  1. :redbeathethank you guys!!! Passing is great...but the support you get from everyone who has been in your same boat, makes it 10x's better!!! You guys are the best!!!:loveya:
  2. Thank you all for your prayers and support!!! :loveya: I am happy to say that I passed!!! I had the best CE's and CA, EVER!!! They were all so supportive and wanted to see us pass!!! I could not have asked for a better testing site! Now I wish I could say that I passed without any flaws..but I would be lieing. I passed all my sim labs on the first try...but when I started my first PCS, I got so wrapped up in making my speech flow that I forgot all about I.D. my patient...so I failed my first PCS!!! I decided at that point that, making it flow was not important, and went back to my grids..step by step...it didnt flow very well, but I didnt forget any steps, and most importantly I passed!!! Yay:yeah: I must say...I went into this thinking..how hard could this be..its basic nursing stuff...but the anxiety in it's self..makes it probably the most difficult thing I have done in my life up to now!!! So thank you all once again!!! And for the people who have not taken it...it is completely doable, just take your time and follow your grids!!! And as far as the whole, "only 60% of the people that take this test pass," I have good news for you people...the group in our CPNE consisted of 7 people...where 6 out of the 7 passed!!! Those sound like better odds..dont you think!!!
  3. I guess...when you finish your CPNE, you will be required to finish this preceptorship before you apply for graduation. Once the CPNE is complete you would send them $300.00 in order for them to process your request and one of the people that sit on the AZ nursing board would arrange for your preceptorship. So there is not a specific hospital in AZ..apparently theres quite a few.
  4. hi there...Im kinda new to this whole website...and I would like a copy of youre experience passing your CPNE if you still have them available..I just dont have a clue as to how to PM you. thanks...any help would be greatly appreciated...I test 5/29 and I sooooooooooo wanna pass!
  5. I have...but it didnt really appear like to many people were posting replys on the EPN...I think I will check again tonight!
  6. why thank you for your well wishes! I must say that I am super excited that it finally happened...now all I gotta do is pass this sucker! hahaha!
  7. Does anyone know what hospitals in Tucson, AZ, Excelsior is using for students to complete their 120hrs preceptorship? I recently found out that excelsior will set up the preceptorship...Im just cursious where and if anyone has been through it? Any info would help! Thanks!
  8. :typinghello out there...Im wondering if there is anyone out there that is also scheduled to take their CPNE in albany 5/29/09...Im having difficulty finding other people out there with the same test date. I would also like to know if there are any other people having a difficult time finding jobs...it's been quite a hot topic! I guess all of us people in healthcare always thought that we would have job security...and Im starting to think that we're not as safe as what we thought! kinda depressing!
  9. thank you...I really appreciate your input!
  10. I figured that I probably should prepare for peds...I just had a moment of giddiness...thinking there was a glimmer of hope I might not have a peds pt. I do have a few more questions....like..did you do a workshop, Im kinda on the fence about that. And what time of year did you do your CPNE? Im out in AZ and our census in the hospital for all pts...city wide, has been low (I dont think the snow birds came this year).Im suppose to test at the end of May. Im just curious to know how many people got the full 5 pcs'?
  11. ok thanks! any other info would be greatly appreciated!
  12. thats exactly what I wanted to hear! Im horrible with kids! how is the staff?
